Hotel Pentagon South

The property could use some further renovations. My room in particular had an extremely loud air conditioner. It sounded like thunder every time it started a new cooling cycle. It woke me up quite a few times during the night. The other issue was the rug (stains and a burned iron mark) and the bathtub did not drain. Ankle high water in a hotel is gross. For the price, it was ok.

Space Fridge was plugged in and I had to manually move myself. TV in room was not properly hooked up and took over and hour to get it fixed by myself

Awesome stay

Great price 10 minutes from the National Mall. My only complaint is that the shower water was not hot enough.

Overall, the hotel is a good place to stay. But it needs some overall attention, like TVs on equipment in Fitness Center, fix filtered water cooler in Fitness Center, better furniture in rooms. I understand the hotel is in a branding transition so once re-branded perhaps there will be some overall facilities improvement.

Exceptional

1st night in room someone opened my door walked in, saw me, and ran out. Hotel staff was asked to deactivate all keys and they said they would. Next day keys still worked and they claimed no one went in my room. Shower was broken so water came half from shower head and half from tub spicket. Light in the bathroom above the tub had exposed wiring and no protective casing. Plugs would fall out of outlets due to them being broken. Phone didn’t work to call front desk. Thread count of sheets was the same as cardboard. No water bending on floor nor options to choose from in lobby as every water was frozen solid.

This hotel could use an update. It seems old and unattended. I appreciate a fitness facility, yet the available weights lacked usable levels for women 10lbs and 15lbs. The breakfast was limited in options. It would be nice to have a cook to order option

Had a problem with the security deposit, stayed on three different occasions and never got back to the deposit. This last time I talked to management, hopefully they rectify it

Very nice place to stay if you're just casually visiting the area. Parking could be better but that's fine.

While I believe this was once a nice hotel, I would not recommend it at this time.
