Updated room in the Executive Center was very quiet and comfortable. Sunday buffet included with room had a lot of variety and is a step up from many complimentary breakfasts.

We do like this hotel, but our stay this time had a few things we had to tell the front desk about. Stains on the sheets, the main door that you can enter through the hallway without a key!!!, and the TV didn't work.

Whenever we are traveling to Ames to see our student, our first choice is always the Gateway!

Enjoyed our stay tremendously. Wonderful room and such friendly and accommodating staff both when checking in, checking out and in the lounge/restaurant. The property seems to be newly remodeled very nicely. The beds are very comfortable and everything so fresh and clean. I had to call the front desk for help with the TV and she came up immediately and got it taken care. We will definitely be back!!

This hotel is our favorite when visiting Ames. The location is ideal. The staff is friendly and always been helpful. The rooms are modern and clean. The restaurant and bar are very convenient if you don't want to leave the property to seek out food/drinks. We have not used the amenities such as weight room, pool, etc. so I can't speak to that.

The hotel itself was clean and very nice. The room had a musty smell as soon as you walked in. There weren’t enough outlets especially by the beds to plug anything in. You get a voucher for breakfast for 1 person regardless of the number staying in your room. It was a perfect location for a visit to Iowa State.

It is in a great location with a restaurant on site. Meghan at the front desk and Tim in the restaurant were both wonderful!

Staff was extremely friendly and the restaurant and bar on site was nice.

The room was fairly clean although the landline and some other spots were dusty. The toilet didn’t work but they fixed it within 15 minutes. The workers were all nice and accommodating.

The breakfast buffet was fair. Over priced for what you got.
