Hampton Inn Buffalo - Amherst, NY

We had a very enjoyable stay. The breakfast was great! Lots of choices and very well maintained. All staff were friendly and courteous. The room was clean and in good repair. We had a small issue with the toilet handle breaking but, it still worked. The outside of the hotel was well maintained and pleasant to look at. I personally would have liked the pool to be warmer. I got in but, my husband did not. (too cold for him!)

How to access the ' live ' TV is always a challenge, as here, at Hampton Amherst-Buffalo, no station numbers were available, at least, that we could find. If things could be made simpler, less complicated. Perhaps a placard on the table with the TV monitor ?

Great hotel

Because of flight delays we got into the Hampton Inn very late, about 3:00am. The gal on staff was very helpful and accommodating and got us checked in without incident. We were understandably exhausted and she told us that we could call for a late check-out in the morning (extend to 2pm) for a fee. Given that we had a toddler with us & check out was 11am we did call to request a late check out just 6 hours later, but were told it was too late to ask and they had already set their housekeeping schedule so it was not possible. This was probably the biggest disappointment of our stay. The room was great, the cleanliness was good and while we missed the free breakfast, we always appreciate the consistent quality of a Hampton Inn.
