Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Anderson/Clemson

We were very glad to have a clean and fresh, mold-free hotel. The last two trips we had, the hotels were moldy and dirty. The beds were comfortable, although the mattress cover was a bit hard. It did not bother my sleep, though. It also had a strong odor of sheet rock dust, but that also didn't bother my sleep.

My room smelled like cigarette smoke, and my sheets had something black smeared across them. The only thing that felt clean was the bathroom, but the drain wouldn't work unless I pulled it up by hand. The floor had dirt all over it. I had to cover my pillow with shirts that I had and bundle up, so I didn't touch the sheets because I felt so gross. Took a shower at night and the next morning because I felt so gross. The ladies at the front desk were nice, but when I brought it to their attention, they didn't offer even a partial refund from my experience, but just said that they were sorry and a lady had smoked a couple of days ago up there and trashed the place.

Clean room, comfortable beds, easy parking, nice staff. Didn’t have a coffee maker in room and pillows not so comfortable.

The bed was a little on the firm side

Breakfast is each morning from 6 to 9. The pool is open to enjoy a break from your day. They have a laundry room as well, which came in handy. You have several food options across the parking lot, a gas station, and you are right off I-85 convenient to Anderson and Clemson.

I loved being near the freeway, but not hearing the fwy noise. The Continental breakfast had good selections and the staff were prompt to refill items and keep the area very clean. I also loved that they had an alcove nearby with food, drinks, toiletries and OTC s available 24/7for purchase. The only negative was in the room itself: there isn't a closet space with hangers to hang your clothes.

It was convenient in the area. It was cleaned and everyone was very nice. I was upset that at the beginning of the stay the pool was closed and the 2 days I was there I was the one cleaning it out. But everything else else was good. Nothing much

Breakfast included biscuits and sausage gravy. Hard to find these days. Loved it.
