The hotel's staff are friendly and it's located in a convenient location, close to restaurants and University of Michigan.

    Outdated on electronics and bedding

Only issue was parking. Garage was full which apparently never happens but then we had a difficult time parking and had to pay for valet. Valet charged more than was posted at the entrance and literally just left my car right on the street for the night.

Bathroom is full of mold—shower head, corners, everywhere where something connects to anything (shampoo bottles on the wall, soap dish, etc.) The shower walls are solid plastic and yet still moldy. Grout in the tile on the bathroom floor is black (except on the far edges, where it is still its original white). We paid $300+ per night for this; I really expected better.

There's construction happening on the road in front of the hotel which isn't the hotel's fault, but it did make the valet process slower than it probably normally is, and I could hear the construction noises in the morning, but again, no big deal. Overall, I had an excellent stay. I appreciated the staff, and the location is nice- within walking distance of the music venue I came to Ann Arbor for, as well as plenty of bars/nightlife, and a farmers market/market shops for the AM. If I ever come back to the area, I would very likely stay again!

    Everything was great.

The property is convenient for downtown Ann Arbor walkable access. The rooms have well supplied kitchenettes.

  • Engine customer May 2026

Lots to like. Location, the breakfast, the staff, the parking, the beds, the kitchen, all are good and reasons to go back again. One improvement would be the sleep sofas. Best for sitting, just ok for sleeping. They do need to improve the blankets they supply with the sofas. They are too thin and not very cozy considering the ones on the beds are enjoyable.

Room was filthy. We noticed a huge hair ball in the shower right when we walked in. There was mold all around the bottom of the shower glass. We found loose change in the bed when we settled in. Breakfast was not the best and anything worth having was out or very low. Bathroom walls were dripping with something. Even elevators were gross with substance dripping down the walls. Whole place needs a deep clean.

The staff was delightful and the room was spacious and clean.

The facilities met my expectations, with ease of accessing to the gym and appointments in the hotel room, made my stay comfortable. I would like to point out that the staff were exemplary, from the front desk to housekeepers, in how courteous and thoughtful they towards me and other guests. I would like to extend a special acknowledgment to Shane and Cameron at the front desk, on my arrival they put me at ease which set the tenor and tone of a beautiful trip to Ann Arbor.

The room was very nice. It has a nice kitchen (although I would change the lightbulbs to 3000K; trust me) and is big enough to host a pregame party, which is what we needed it for :) The check in process was extremely stressful. They upgraded the rooms without saying anything at check in. Usually that is fine, but I had planned out the room types based on the people staying in them (it was a bachelorette party, and some people didn't know each other, so I didn't think they should room together, whereas other people did know each other and could be together easily). They needed everyone's first and last names at check in, usually fine as well, but they asked me to spell them verbally... which honestly was kind of tough. And when I asked to just write them down, the people working there gave me a hard time. To be honest, I would have preferred less of an upgrade and more to be on the same floor all together. Additionally, the room was really hot when I first arrived and I couldn't get it to cool down. It was cold outside so this seemed really weird, &the windows didn't open in the living space, only in the bedroom area. I adjusted the thermostat & it made no difference until about 8 hours later. I turned it back down, & in the morning, it was now freezing in the bedroom area, and back to being hot in the living space. It made sleeping very uncomfortable. It turned out there was a second thermostat I hadn't seen... still not sure which one worked on the bedroom. They were both in the living space. Also, parking was a nightmare. I called ahead to ask if parking was included in our stay, since there is a public lot very close. And the person on the phone rudely said "Oh NO! It's not. We have a valet service that costs extra though! And parking is free after midnight!" I thought okay, it will probably be cheaper that way.... well it wasn't. And the parking garage is under construction. And not accessible from the hotel's street currently. I really wish the person on the phone would have taken the time to explain that. I'm sure lots of people have questions about this.

The staff were all exceptional. Adrianna, Stephen, and the new guy (whose name escapes me, but he is rocking it) all went above and beyond. When we requested a needed refresh for the suite cookware, it was personally delivered by the hotel manager, Mercedes Provost, who is fantastic. We were high-maintenance guests and they didn’t bat or roll an eye. The breakfast buffet was top-notch. Everything was fresh and perfectly prepared, with a solid selection of daily continental staples and a rotation of cooked items. The host for the first few days of our stay (again, not recalling his name), was very personable and professional, and didn’t once slow me down when I came strolling up with my wheelbarrow :) The pool was closed for repairs, so that was a bummer, but not a big deal. It would have been good to know that in advance, but that could be logistically impossible for the staff. Certainly not for a lack of dedicated trying by the team, but we were not able to stream NBA games to the TV from our streaming service on our device without the volume at 1

This was a great hotel. Very clean with great breakfast. It was close to all the restaurants and university of Michigan.

Hotel staff were very pleasant and accommodating. We were even allowed to watch a University of Michigan basketball playoff game, in the back part of the lobby, with some family members who live locally. Great memories were made there. We will stay there again, when we return to the area.
