The staff was very nice and helpful, but, this facility is old and will need a lot of work. I would not stay here again.

Overall our room was comfortable and clean. Convenient location with many restaurants nearby.

Was trying to communicate with property manager and wasn't able to call, due to phones being down, Messaged through Hotels.com and was told the lines were down, asked if everything was still functioning, not reply, This was done on 7/29. on 7/30 I messaged again got a reply your reservation is still good. Messaged 7/31 early morning confirming things were still good. Then a little after 3pm got a message that due to property damage the hotel is still closed. Very upset due to the fact that I knew a bad storm had gone through and was double checking things and nothing was communicated that it was going to be closed until we had already left to head to the hotel. Very poor communication. Do I have sympathy for the hotel with having damage yes. My concern was why wasn't I notified sooner. We did drive past the hotel and to see the damages and yes I understand it was very badly damaged, if you want customers to stay or come back communication is very key. I am still waiting for the refund to my account.

Do not book here. The hotel was closed when I arrived for check-in. Locked, unstaffed, and unresponsive to calls, with just a few lights on. I had to find another place to stay, and they have refused to refund me.

Hotel was closed, I received no notifications that the hotel was closed

The property was damaged by recent storms in the area. I received no notification from the property. There was no signage at the property to indicate they are closed. My card was still charged for the stay. I am sorry for the weather related misfortune but the owners did absolutely nothing to indicate the closure and still charged me even though they had five days to do a little something about it.

I stayed 7 nights and my room was not cleaned even once. Please see photos. A/C was not on in the main area. If you are expecting a good breakfast---please choose another place.

The hotel smelled worse the deeper we traveled. The bathtub was full of mold we refused to use it. The pool was closed.

Clean the rooms and walls, breakfast is a joke, coffee watered down, not good!

A DIRTY ROTTEN TRICK TO BE PULLED ON US AT 12:30 AM IN THE MORNING WITH NO PLACE TO GO LIKE THE OTHER 7-PEOPLE IN THE HOTEL LOBBY. ALL HOTELS IN AREA WERE COMPLETELY SOLD OUT BECAUSE OF THE EAA AIR SHOW IN OSHKOSH, WI. YOU NEED TO REMOVE THEM FROM YOUR HOTEL LISTINGS IN APPLETON, WI ASAP!

You get what you pay for. I knew that going in with Airventure airshow all hotels were 3-4 times minimum what they normally charge. Some hotels jacked their prices, this place was nominal.

Our booking was through expedia for 1 King Bed Non-Smoking bedroom but we were only assigned to queen bed bedroom and I would not consider this place non-smoking at all. The entire place smells like Cigarette. I generally do not write reviews but for this one I felt like doing so. I hope whoever decides to stay at this place read my feedback and decide accordingly.

Very kind front desk employee who was very concerned about my stay. I couldn’t have had a better experience.

The night desk guy was super nice and very helpful. Our room was clean and nice. The beds were ok. Breakfast was minimal, but for free, im not picky. Very nice stay especially for the price!!

Literally police there every day we were staying there. It was nice and quiet. Whole place smells like smoke. Pool is closed. Honestly not worth the money.

Wimpy breakfast. Broken shower faucet. Nice decor. Nice staff. Relicated for shower use was gelpful. Undergoing changes from Howard Johnson to Holiday Lodge. Reasonable $ during air show.

Food on the floor at the main entry door. Hallway carpet smelled like smoke. Got to our room and it had not yet been serviced. Decided not to stay there. Did not get a refund.

When Housekeeping "cleaned" the room before we arrived, the room was half done. There was no toilet paper or kleenex. We had 3 registered guests in our party, yet there as only one bath towel, hand towel, and no washcloth. There were complimentary coffee grounds and cups but no cream/sugar for it. There were no plastic drinking cups and no ice bucket. About 11 PM and again at 2 or 3 AM on the first night, we were woken up by someone hammering in one of the adjacent rooms for 15-20 minutes. The next morning I saw a cart with replacement flooring on it in front of the next room over. The hammering the night before sounded exactly like they were hammering pieces of interlocking flooring into place. We normally would not stay at a hotel with the low ratings this one has. However, due to EAA, it was the only one that had any availability within 30 miles of Appleton. My wife was scheduled for Surgery at Thedacare early on Tuesday morning. They wanted her there at 5:30 AM. We live over one hour away. We will not return to the Holiday Lodge.
