great location and amenities!

The room was excellent and the staff were nice and helpful. The vibe of the hotel is definitely more family friendly than expected, including the pool. There was also some minor issues/backup with check in. Although we arrived and let them know we were there at 1130am our room wasn’t ready until about 30 mins after the 4pm check in. The gym also had an obvious maintenance issue with the ceiling and a whole ceiling panel had fallen to the floor and was just sitting there. The proximity to the bench is nice and views (even in a partial ocean view) at least on the floor we were on were very nice. Hotel is nice overall but for what we paid (understanding it was peak season) the experience could have been better.

Room wasn’t clean … wasn’t vacuumed , the tables had cup stains that were sticky and there was dried up food crumbs on the night stand. Bugs , there was bugs in the room. I would not stay here again to be honest.

The Berkeley is a very comfortable hotel to visit Asbury. It is quiet at night and caters to everyone, solo travelers and families

I arrived very late the night of my stay and the overnight front desk person was very kind and helpful.
-
Front desk not too friendly. No consideration for a return customer that has been going there for several years.

Great location. Comfortable beds and clean rooms. Walking distance to everything. Friendly staff. Will come again next year.

The room was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

We were only there for 1 night, but It was a great stay,

Great property and excellent location. Rooms are nice and modern , very clean but bathroom needs a place to hang beach towels and beach clothes. Also property needs washer and dryer for all the sandy beach outer wear. Pool is warm and dirty
-
Location was right at the beach entrance. Parking costs extra but valet parking is available for the hotel.
-
Very nice rooms, friendly staff, try to park on the street parking can be expensive

The proximity to the beach and the cleanliness of the entire hotel. The service and cheerfulness from the front door attendants. Room was a good size, king bed was comfortable, 2 min walk to the Boardwalk that has 5 or 6 restaurants and some small beach shops. The hotel is also within a 15 minute walk to a host of restaurants and there is ample Uber service in the area too. The coffee shop in the hotel is convenient. The maid service seem to lack. We almost had to hunt down the maid for service. They only left one towel per person when they did service the room. We didn't have a maid come to room till the third day we were there. The TV in the room was terrible, could hardly watch it. I should have complained but I let it go. The parking situation in Asbury can be quite expensive. It will cost you over $50 per day to park close to the beach Friday-Sun. It is cheaper during the rest of the week. The further away you get the cheaper it is. The Berkely is in the most expensive zone. One block away is the next cheapest zone a real money saver. Download the Asbury parking app before you go and register your vehicle before you travel. I Believe the hotel charges $80 a day to valet your vehicle.

No coffee machine in the room, but have coffee downstairs in the lobby. After the dilemma of the room is not ready until 3:30, and finally got the room, ONLY TO get a great surprise once I opened the door and there is a lady sleeping in the bed. 😱 Valet is not worth it Good location to the boardwalk Overall average stay

This is our second time staying at the Berkeley-and honestly, we wouldn't stay anywhere else while in asbury park. It's a beautiful hotel with huge rooms, an attentive staff and gorgeous grounds. Not to mention, it's right on the beach. We'll definitely be back!

Parking was extremely expensive

Breakfast was basic coffee wasn't so good. Peter at the pool was super kind and helpful.

Just an awful place a huge mistake, run down, over priced, pool was disgusting and insanely crowded, building was old and dilapidated
