Renaissance Asheville Downtown Hotel

We booked this hotel because we thought it had patio with fire pits According to the picture online. When we got here, we found out that they no longer have them. Please update your pictures.

Clean comfortable room, friendly staff. Bar prices are a little steep

This was my second stay. The stay were kind and attentive, the rooms were clean and spacious, and it is a great spot for having nice access to downtown. Overall, it was quite solid, but I think this time I did notice a bit more because we stayed for a longer time. We heard a lot from the hallway and our mini fridge was making the worst high pitched noise. I e unplugged it, which is fine, but it was one of those things you just don’t expect to be a problem because of the property. We also decided to pre purchase breakfast, which if you’re interested in doing, please do so before your stay. I paid $11 per person and if you don’t get the pre purchase, it is $20 per person. I’m not opposed to paying that for breakfast, but as it was just a continental breakfast and a guy making omelets, I was actually more surprised at what they didn’t have. Our waitress each morning was Laura and she was so sweet and attentive! It was just a bummer that the selection wasn’t what we were expecting. For reference, we stayed one night at a smaller hotel the weekend prior that was a fraction of the price (also in Asheville), and although it wasn’t in downtown like we prefer, the breakfast was complimentary and the only difference was the omelet bar, a waitress/waiter, and the salsa. The salsa I believe was our favorite part. But overall, it’s a great stay! We’ll definitely return, but we’ll go and enjoy local breakfast spots instead.

Everything Nothing

Rooms were excellent well kept. Breakfast was superb!

Location was perfect for my trip Few options for breakfast, the room was not always cleaned to my expectations.

The hotel is fairly dated and there was no water for a few hours one day. Room service did not exist even though the guest services channel was not updated to state that. Arrived late and thankfully had to use Uber Eats to get something to eat. Certainly was in interesting stay.

Great location downtown. Walkable to many restaurants and stores. Friendly staff. Small fitness center. Small convenience store for drinks and snacks. Water dispenser around the corner from store for water bottles.

Wonderful hotel and nice and close to town. Kinda wish I had been warned that it would be $74 to self-park.

Decent location with a nice last minute booking discount. Saved $100 a night by booking last minute.

The shower never got hot and there is no safe in the room

Nice hotel with a great lobby bar and restaurant. Enjoyed the valet and not worry about parking. The Continental breakfast could have been better for the price. Glad I got the vouchers when I booked the room. Not worth the $20 is paid at the restaurant.

Breakfast was only served as buffet for 30 dollars a day. Pool was closed for entire stay. Housekeeping was inconsistent daily. Had to ask for toilet tissue, facial tissues, coffee bar refills. Lobby furniture was extremely worn looking.

The hotel is lovely, with great views and updated lobby and rooms. The breakfast buffet is great and the fitness center is well-equipped and updated also. What really stands out for us at this hotel is the amazing staff. Every single person we encountered was very friendly, helpful, and welcoming, and the valet staff was especially great. They do a wonderful job of making guests feel welcome and appreciated. We're excited to stay here again. We were happy with everything about it.
