Parking was convenient to downtown Ashville. The room was clean. The property is an older and will someday need some updating. The breakfast offered lots of variety and was good.

The first room we were assigned, the AC sounded like a jet engine. It was extremely loud. The front desk clerk, Mitchell, was very responsive and reassigned us to another room. He thought maybe a compressor was going out. The reassigned room had no hand soap and the television didn't work. The room never cooled throughout the night, but we stuck it out. We only stayed one night and informed the clerk at checkout, not Mitchell, about the tv and lacking hand soap. She replied well I hope it didn't sour your stay. It is an older hotel, and not one of the newer four points. It is a walk to get to the south slope but it is walkable, and there are several amenities, restaurants and shops located close by within a shorter walking distance. The restaurant was closed except for breakfast. We would not stay here again.

Cleanliness, welcoming staff, convenient location
-
The air conditioning unit in the room struggled to keep the temperature below 80 until around midnight and the room was consistently very humid. There was also no exhaust fan in the bathroom, which made the humidity problem even worse. The third floor overall seemed to be in ok shape, but when we detoured down the ground floor hallway it was pretty rough. The staff were very attentive and breakfast was good. It was fine for a budget stay within easy walking distance of downtown amenities, but if I'd planned an anniversary trip with this as the accommodations, I would be in trouble.

This hotel while being a little older was well maintained. Very clean with great location. All the staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was amazing. Great value. Plenty of parking.

Staff - Everyone was very friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout. Check in was easy, and all issues we had with our rooms were addressed quickly and efficiently. Breakfast - again, the staff were excellent, and the quality of the breakfast was good overall. It was never busy and so service was fast and food was fresh. Location - excellent location, very close to downtown and in walking distance to everything you'd want to visit in downtown Asheville Parking - Parking was plentiful, and free - unlike most other downtown hotels. Now for the Cons: Room maintenance - we had to switch rooms due to a non-functioning AC unit. Then after switching rooms, the next room had a plumbing issue with the faucet not working. They did fix it fairly quickly, but they should really check that rooms are properly maintained before opening them to guests. Breakfast buffet - when booking it showed there was a breakfast buffet available, but on none of the three mornings we were there was there a buffet. That was a little disappointing as I had pre-paid for breakfast when booking the room. Overall a solid 7/10 and I would consider staying here again. My recommendations for this place would be to work on upgrading rooms, and give your staff a raise.

Property is lovely, clean, but needs to be updated. Super convenient to all things Asheville

The location is really good. You can walk a few hundred yards and find shops, bars, live music and all sorts - I loved the town. The room wasn't the best one I stayed at on my tour but wasn't bad by any means - clean and adequately equipped with nice big bed. Just maybe a little tired compared to some of the hotels I stayed at but still really nice. Was a little pricey at that time for the room you get but everywhere in town was at that time. Location is great though

Location Very dated and dark

The 4 point was in a great location room was very clean, Mitchell at the reception desk was very helpful suggesting places to eat and visit he was very friendly and we appreciate all he did for us

We stayed for 2 nights. The hotel was clean and quiet. The room was comfortable. The only drawback was no complimentary breakfast. The location was perfect. We we able to walk everywhere in downtown Asheville.

No microwave

Typical old hotel that needs an upgrade. If you're timid or proved you might not want to read this next line, it was hard to wipe without getting your hand in the water. If you're looking to save some money this place could be it if you have the money, you'll like it somewhere else better

Just Don't. I feel as though I was mislead, uninformed and I heard staff flat out lie to arriving guests. The area wasn't worth a dime, hotel and restaurants/bars/shops, also not worth the stop. I was miserable and pissed off. Also, if you want to work out or swim, no such luck. What they won't tell you, middle of summer and neither are up to use. They will actually tell you after checking in, that you will have to go to the local YMCA for those amenities you paid to have on property.

We chose this property because it had a pool and a restaurant. We arrived late afternoon and was looking to grab a bite to eat onsite and sit at the pool. Temperature was 95! The bar/ restaurant was closed and the pool was covered up. We had to go find a place to eat after traveling all day. They should keep this info current on the website.

Flags out front, tattered. Otherwise, a pleasant stay.

The hotel pictures and advertising must be from when the hotel first opened. My first impression of the hotel rounding the corner to enter the lot was - is this it? The building looks abandoned. The check in was okay, but the clerk gave me the wrong room number so the key didn't work. After entering the room, I took a five minute breather and checked out - re-booking at 1450 Tunnel road Holiday Inn which is the opposite experience. This place also had questionable activity going on the same floor I was booked. Sorry, other's possibly could suck it up and adapt but I didn't feel safe.

Check in staff was great, walked in the middle side building door and it completely came off the hinges. The check out staff was awesome!
