Clean room with a comfortable bed and good breakfast.

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

Staff was helpful with how to pull out the sofa, bed and providing linens. However, our bedroom was on the highway side and we could hear traffic all night. Also, the pullout bed in the living area was extremely hard and not comfortable for sleeping.

Room was great and the kitchenette was useful for all our food restrictions as we were able to cook our own meals!

Varied food items, and beverages. The breakfast room was exceptionally clean, and spacious. The decaf coffee dispenser was empty for a while, and this happened on two visits.

This stay really made me want to choose TownePlace Suites by Marriott again in the future! The location was great, the room was thoughtfully designed and very convenient, and the staff were genuinely kind and welcoming. It’s a wonderful place for both family trips and business travel. We really enjoyed our stay and felt right at home!

Clean room, walking distance from restaurants. Breakfast is decent.

Nice location, on edge of traditional city center. Nothing negative just a 4 of 5 kinda hotel.

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

Lobby was clean, breakfast was good, nice location mostly. There were condoms in the nightstand. I don’t see the hotel putting them there so I was kind of skeptical about how clean the actual room was. The down pillows were terrible and flat.

    Breakfast was mediocre.

Stayed for 1 night as a quick visit from out of state. The hotel was pretty easy to find, rooms were clean and didn't smell like a pet friendly hotel (which is what you want even if you have a pet IYKYK). The location to downtown Asheville is perfect. It was too muggy to walk but doable if weather isn't an issue. We smushed a lot in eating and perusing the area. My dog was at peace. Only issue at night was hearing the travelers upstairs. They may have had kids leaping to the floor...but it quieted down after a few hours. Definitely will try here again but ask for top floor room.

The property was very well maintained and staff exceptionally friendly. I would give 5 stars but the homeless surrounding the area was disappointing.

I was very impressed with my stay. The staff was amazing. My room was very comfortable and clean. I would love to return and stay here the next time I come back to Asheville.

2 night stay. Not a huge room, but had a kitchenette and was well appointed. Was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Some have commented on road noise; we did hear the occasional motorcycle, but other than that, was very quiet (and I'm a very light sleeper). Had problems with the key cards at check in, front desk clerk was great about it tho and we finally got a key that she could code. Complimentary breakfast was nice with each day providing different hot options from the previous day and there was a nice variety. Fitness room was great with plenty of cardio machines, cables and free weights. They have 2 very nice grills (which we did not use) outside for those that would like to grill out while in town (and the full kitchenette would be great for this.) A very short & safe .5 mile walk into town that had a couple homeless people here and there, but didn't bother us in the least bit. There is a fee for parking, but we didn't have a car, so no issue for us. Coffee, hot water, & cold water are available in the eating area 24/7. Overall a great value for the money, a great stay, and this would be one of our 1st choices when we visit Asheville next time!

I have traveled to over 70 countries and usually try to stay at Marriott properties, but I never imagined I would go through what happened at this hotel in Asheville. 1- A week before arriving, I have requested few times an early check-in via Booking and direct email, as I had a meeting in the city. They never replied. When I arrived and asked why I hadn't received a response, I was told: "We are very busy and don't have time to answer." 2- Despite asking daily for my room to be cleaned once a day—since the windows were sealed shut and I suffer from severe allergies—they completely ignored my requests. The room was cleaned only every 4 days; it was disgusting, with dirty towels and bed linens. Unbelievable. I made daily requests to the front desk, specifically to the person in charge, Rebecca, and the manager, William Preble. They completely ignored me throughout my nine-night stay. 3- The hotel did not provide water for guests to take to their rooms. On several days, I returned late from work, and the only water available was a small plastic bottle which should be complimentary for guests.;(The only water available to guests for free was in a pitcher with ice and lemon, but I didn't have a bottle, and I can't consume ice.). On other days, there were no bottles at all. I was never informed that the water would be charged for—as it was presented as a courtesy—but at checkout, I was surprised by the charges on my bill. They charged me over $5.00 for each bottle of water, whereas the cost in the city was $1.00. Curiously, they never disclosed the price during my stay, and upon checking the bill, I saw that a random amount had been charged each day. 4- On my check-out day, I dealt with the manager William Preble , who consistently refused to clarify the charges on my bill.

We brought our dog and they had a little welcome bag for her. A decent walk to downtown but we did it multiple times and were there for a concert.
