Stay Express Inn Athens

Once we got to the property, we upgraded to a newly renovated room. The bed was horrible!!! Slept like we were on an air mattress. Kept rolling to the center, it was uncomfortable.

I arrived too late to find another place or i would’ve. I paid for 3 nights before seeing room. I found a room elsewhere for the next 2 nights. Hopefully the insurance claim will reimburse but wouldn’t have stayed another night. Roaches, crickets, spiders, holes in wall, refrigerator did not work but even if it had you would not want to use it. Rusty water. One ice machine in front building. Room was non smoking so everyone smoked outside. Our a/c pulled smoke odors right into the room. Cigarette burn in bedspread. I could go on and on.

The room was suppose to be smoke free and the room smelled like smoke..bathroom ceiling patch job was terrible

The young gentleman on the front counter was more than helpful but the rooms and amenities weren’t that great

The pool area. The quiet surroundings. Close to fast food.

Tv wasn’t working good at all neither the remote aswell room was smoking and I told them that I want non smokers also smelled like weed all over the place will not stay again

Overall I recommend this hotel for an economical stay that meets all your needs.

The spread and sheets had holes in them. The towels were terrible. Several lights in the room didn’t work, the walls in the bathroom were nasty and the couch had stains and holes. I pray we didn’t get bed bugs. On Fridaynight the people below us starting cussing and fighting at 3:00 am to 6:00 am they started throwing things. Not a good experience!

Our key wouldn't work, we were on the second floor had to go up and down stairs 3 times and the guy finally came and unlocked the door himself, the tv was tiny, the bathtub felt like it was going to fall through the floor and it was not very clean. The swimming pool was open but filthy..... All in all, I will not be staying there again

It was a little bit of a bad day for it so I'm going to see if you want to make it ok to me or anything but it was not right

Front desk was very helpful. Bed was comfy

I didn't like the bed in the room we had springs up the back and every move you made it squeezed very unsatisfied in the room this time

Check in and out was quick and easy.

AAMAZING FOOD TRUCKS OUTSIDE, THE SMASH BURGERS. I like how old management had grape foliage in the check in area, could use some more ambient lighting. kinda dark, we were in the upgraded units and i wish it had a roku or something for the tv, the tvs are really old and pixilated. the young man working there was very nice, these are recommendations and not complaints.

Pillows was flat roaches in the bathroom , coffe pot didn’t work had to pay extra 20$ for my dog

Beds need to be updated. It’s the number one thing you need in a hotel and the bed was uncomfortable.
