The Whitley, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Atlanta Buckhead

Excellent property that's ideally located in the heart of the city. Spacious rooms, very helpful staff and great breakfast buffet. Beds are very comfortable and rooms extremely quiet. I will be back.

And then there’s the Reggie’s of the world. Reggie took such great care of me when we checked in and he was an excellent ambassador of the hotel. He deserves a raise. He helped us get our early check in expedited and treated us to some beverages for having to wait, even though we were early! Great first impression of the hotel so the later experience that evening left a sour taste in my mouth. Beautiful suite with a nice view of Lenox Mall and a distant Atlanta skyline. The club access is such a great bonus for booking these rooms. Even though it is not automatically accessible and the front desk has not a clue. Mini bar and fridge were not fully stocked so I was worried I would get charged for something a previous guest took.

Overall stay was nice. Paid for valet parking for the stay, called ahead for car to be ready only to wait 35 minutes due to our keys being misplaced(multiple staff members admitted keys not in correct place aslo asking what color and kind of vehicle we had). King room was nice and clean. Had an adjoining room which you could hear the next room's conversation at 1 in the morning while you have a sleeping baby.

We came for next weekend and the hotel is beautiful. We stayed on the seventh floor, which needed some more detailed cleaning on the doors and the lights, but it was not dirty. It also just needed some upkeep like painting and different things for it to be in a line with a luxury hotel. The walls are thin. We heard an entire conversation the room next to us had for more than an hour. I would stay there again on a higher floor. Everyone was so kind the food was good and loved the pool. It’s also a prime location.

Didn't like : 1)Not enough lighting in the room. 2) Tub/shower floor too slick.

Excellent location across from Lenox Mall

The service staff were wonderful. The club lounge was fantastic and the jazz dinner was great. Our room had a number of small issues. The coffee maker broke, a toilet broke there was food left in the fridge and we only got bottled water the first night. The rest of the experience was excellent. Some of the best hotel staff I have experienced.

I really regretted my booking with the Whitley for the following reasons; the spa hours were limited and I was told there were services starting at 10am and they were closed until check out at 12pm, the amenities are not maintained very well, the exercise equipment, the pool and jacuzzi (which I didn’t even bother using) all were advertised to be top notch facilities but they were comparable to a Days Inn. I debated staying somewhere closer to the village and if you’re looking to have a reasonable time and go local places I would suggest finding another. I broke out in hives due to what I think is due to improper cleaning or allergens in the feathered bedding. They hardly followed up with any reasonable solution to the issues I mentioned above.
