Holiday Inn Express & Suites Youngstown West - Austintown by IHG

Our room was fine and the staff were nice. Unfortunately the hotel was under renovation so the elevator and pool were out of order. Had to carry our luggage upstairs to the third floor. Staff did make us aware upon checking in but it was too late in the evening at that point to switch hotels. I’m sure the hotel will be nice once the renovations are completed.

The man that checked us in was efficient, but not personalable at all. After he checked us in to the 3rd floor he casually mentioned the elevator was broken. 3rd floor... no elevator. Other than ant crawling up the wall the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. When we checked out and mentioned the hassle of the broken elevator the clerk was surprised. She didn't know. Yeah, we didn't either.

Excellent service

The bathroom was very rundown. There were mildew stains on the old tile, black mold on the wallpaper and someone else’s hair accessories on the side of the bathtub. I reported this to the employee at the front desk who responded that she would “let them know”.

Kathy at check in was fantastic; professional and very helpful. Hotel was convenient to the I. Easy on, easy off!

Room was dirty. There was a banging noise just outside the second story window all night long. There were stains on the bedding. The bathroom was grimy and moldy.

Friendly and helpful staff; clean and updated amenities and decor; proximate to multiple eateries; relatively good price. Everything you want and need for a safe, nice place to stay while traveling.

The property is dated. Stained carpets in the hallways. It just looks like it needs a total makeover! There is a renovation taking place on the third floor. I just wanted to get out of there!

Room was dirty on arrival. Dried old food on phone, chairs and table. Carpet was stained and room had an odor. Front desk changed our room, second room was average. The pool area was not maintained well on deck, along with hot tub broken with yellow tape around. We called the day before to book and see if everything was working with a response of yes. That was not the case. Staff was friendly, hotel needs

Front desk clerk was extremely helpful and cheerful.

The room was spotless & comfortable. Josh at the desk was very friendly. Kevin is not friendly & has a very smart mouth. I really don’t know how he has a job there.

Well first of all there was trash behind the chair trash in the microwave before we even got there. It was a 6 person room and we had 6 people in it. They told me after I payed for 2 nights that after the first one we weren’t allowed in the pool only 2 people were. I asked how much to add them they said they couldn’t I said okay how much for another room they said it’s not in their best interest to rent me another room. I said this is a 2 star hotel and as I was walking away the manager told me I had 15 minutes to leave. I didn’t get a refund. I was treated by every staff member very poorly, they also had full twisted tea cans on there cleaning carts that they were drinking while working. Do not waste your money, go across the street
