The property is right in Bar Harbor. It was a quick walking distance to restaurants and the Shore. Acadia was only a quick 6-10 minute drive.

We stayed three nights and could not wait for breakfast each morning. Each day Cheryl served a gourmet delight. The location was perfect with a grocery around the corner and an easy walk to town. (Parking is limited in Bar Harbor.) Cheryl answered all of our questions and was very responsive to our needs. Our room was very quiet and equipped with everything we needed. If we ever return to Bar Harbor we will certainly stay here again.

I was blown away by the staff at the Elmhurst Inn. They went above and beyond in making us feel welcome. We had the Cadillac Room, which I highly recommend. It was huge with a nice size bathroom and a sitting room off to the side. The breakfast that was provided was delicious. And they had so many helpful tips to activities and places to eat. I can’t say enough about this place.

Sweet little gem tucked in a calm street with trees and yard space to make you feel nestled but still easy walking distance from all the stores and restaurants. Stayed in the Echo Lake suite and it was perfect for me and my 2 daughters. Safe, clean. Terrific breakfasts and innkeeper is super kind. Would highly recommend.

The morning breakfast was very nice with two hot options each day as well as home-baked banana or pumpkin bread, which were absolutely delicious. The Inn manager, Cheryl, is very kind, helpful and delightful!

The in-house made breakfast as many other comments mentioned is indeed a feature of the hotel and a must-try. The location of the hotel is about 5-10 min walk from the downtown Bar Harbor. Parking in Bar Harbor is a nightmare, so if you plan to spend some time exploring downtown Bar Harbor, this is the right place to stay.

The breakfast was exceptional. So delicious and lovely. The innkeeper was so amazing, I felt like I was visiting a distant family member's home.

What a WONDERFUL stay at this historic inn. Cheryl (I am sorry if I misspelled your name!) was an AMAZING host-the breakfast was amazing-the conversations were wonderful and it was truly a great experience. Cannot recommend enough
