The property was centrally located, and the hosts exceptionally helpful, friendly and knowledgable about the town.

Amazing experience. Large rooms, super clean right in the heart of the town with easy access to food and bars and local businesses. Amazingly friendly older front desk clerk made checking in a breeze and gave me the full rundown on all the local spots and how to plan my hike at Acadia. One of the better hotels I’ve ever stayed at and felt like they actually really appreciated my staying there and wanted me to have a good experience. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. Nothing. Everything was great.

We really enjoyed our stay at Island Place, staff were super helpful, great location, short walk to downtown, just far enough out of the hustle and bustle but super convenient, grocery store a short walk and many dining places.The only improvement I could recommend, would be a laundry.

The room was completely clean. No dust in window tracks or anywhere else we could see. Attention to detail was amazing. Nothing appeared worn or scuffed. Everything worked perfectly. Walking distance to restaurants and the doc downtown but in a quieter section of town. Staff was friendly and helpful. Like old friends. We’d have liked a way to tip the cleaning staff other than by envelope.

This places was so dialed in. The attention to every detail--clean, beautiful and well cared for. You cannot beat this location!

Perfect location!

The room was very comfortable and clean. We were able to walk short distances to eat, hop the bus, and shop, but it was far enough to be quiet.

We would definitely stay here again. It was comfy and clean and quiet. Close to town. Parking outside your door. Wonderful staff.

These people go out of their way to make everything PERFECT! I loved Island Place and will stay there next time. Everything was convenient, the room was just exactly what I needed, and I didn't need to drive my car because Island Place is in such good proximity to everything. The staff in the office was always there to answer questions and make recommendations. I loved that they had coffee, ice, water bottle filling station, and microwave available 24/7. Everything was great in my room. Plenty of outlets, refrigerator, good lighting. Just made my stay easy peasy. I've stayed in super fancy big hotels. This felt so much more relaxing and comfortable.

Such a clean, well kept little inn. Everyone at the front desk was so helpful and nice. Rooms were very clean and the bed was very comfortable. There was a little refrigerator with a freezer that came in handy for sandwich supplies if you are planning long days in Acadia or have dinner leftovers. Little lobby has a microwave, coffee, creamer, sugar and to go cups. And they had a little ice machine and bottle filler. Close enough to walk to downtown and within 5 min walk to a the grocery store and a few good breakfast places, 2 cats and cafe this way. All the dinner restaurants we went were great as well. Project social, Geddy’s, Blaze, the Barnacle for oysters.

We were so happy with our stay at Island Place. The accommodations were comfortable, immaculate and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The location was very convenient, about a 10 min walk to the Main Street.

The staff gave us a lot of good suggestions. WiFi is stable. Room is clean, though furnitures look a little old. The bathroom is small.

Great location and walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants in town. Clean comfortable, and convenient. The lady at the front desk was very kind and helpful.

Optimal place to stay in Bar Harbor Nothing, I like everything

The price of hotels in Bar Harbor and over all in Maine, are outrageous, way over priced ! This particular motel was near downtown, which was a plus. The property was old, but kept up, so it was presentable. The rooms had modest decor. It had no coffee maker in the room, so you had to go to the office to get your coffee. The hotel was overpriced at $313.00 we paid.

Rooms were very clean. Staff is very knowledgeable about the area and very friendly. Would definitely recommend to stay here and will definitely be staying here again next year.
