Motel 6 Barstow, CA - Route 66

everything worked and was clean and comfortable

Horrible, don't waste your money. Didn't even stay there gonna demand a refund. WORSE place I ever saw.

I don’t even know where to begin it all started with staff member working at the desk. He took forever to come to the front then had a attitude with me because I was trying to understand the requirements like the down deposit and he was ignoring my questions and rolled his eyes and walked away after giving my key to the room…NOW THE ROOM is what put the cherry on top…it was a non smoking room and IT SMELLED LIKE COMPLETE SMOKE like someone just got done smoking the bed smelled the pillow cases were dirty as hell there were burn holes in the thin ass blanket there was a roach on the walk the bathroom was hella dirty I had a bad stay and wouldn’t recommend anyone staying here this motel 6 needs to be shut down immediately!

The ac unit didn’t work. I dialed 0 on the room phone but nobody answered. I called from my cell phone and a lady answered and I told her. She said she was going to “check” it. Never came through.

AC barely worked. Pillows too soft. Phone was dirty. Shower tile was peeling off. Room door did not have latch lock. Won’t be coming back

The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. It was very inexpensive. The whole place was kind of run down. There were bright lights outside our balcony door that the curtains didn't completely block out, but I guess those are needed for safety. The nearby trains made a lot of screeching sounds, but I'm a good sleeper. The old Route 66 is very cool. I would like to see it revitalized. The original Del Taco is nearby- it's good.

No comment. Not the best hotel.

Yeah -- probably not someplace you want to stay if you have any other option available to you. The property is in an economically depressed portion of Barstow and you get all that comes with that.

A/C unit did not work. Patio door lock did not work.

customer service is very poor water leaking on the floor in the room hole on the walls smoke detector makes noises fridge doesn't work

The squelling of the train brakes and the dirty ness of the bathroom

The Dryer would not work, I went to the office and no such thing as customer service. There were no bath towels in the room. I had to go to the office and the desk person was so rude, he finally brought towels over.

Found 5 cockroaches one in the sheets

There was no hot water.

Don't stay in Room 111 .... it has bed bugs!

AC doesn’t work

was exactly what i expected for a $50 room, not bitching. slept in my sleepimg bag. om top of stained bedding.

There are many Motel 6 in Barstow to choose from. This is the only one that has a 10 acre park with green grass and shade trees for your pooch within 35 yards walking distance. There's a lot of desert in Barstow, a harsh environment for sure. Give your dog comfort in shade and green manicured grass to do their business in and start your morning off with a stress free walk and sniff and a potty area not as hot as lava rocks fresh from a volcano. The owner/operator and his new family are a delight and he can easily be mistaken for an innkeeper that has been worn thin. Granted, the motel is a work in progress. The owner/ operator is a one man show with a new baby and weary travelers pulling at him around the clock. Be patient and afford some grace, can't beat the park next door anywhere outside of LA or OC for your furry companion and stress free, familiar morning or evening walk, sniff, and s*** on green grass just out the gate. Bring some towels for the bathroom, you're warned. The A.C. units are being serviced and cleaned one at a time.

ac was fine, ice machine did not work. towel rack was ready to fall.
