Hampton Inn Baton Rouge - I-10 & College Dr.

The breakfast had variety, fresh fruit, and plenty for every one. The breakfast staff was alert to our needs. The room service left things tidy and clean. It was a pleasure to stay here.

My room was cleaned everyday, pool perfect for children, a variety for breakfast, nice staff, convenient location for restaurants, gas, interstate, bank, and Walmart. I had a great stay with my granddaughter ( 7/2026). This is my choice hotel whenever I visit Baton Rouge.

My issue was at the poolside. It’s a comfortable space to accommodate different groups of guests. However, there should be strict no smoking rules for that area.

The hotel is average. It needs a lot of fixing from chipped bathtubs to uneven base panels. This will be my last time staying

Staff was pleasant. Bed was comfortable! Breakfast was okay.

The staff was great. The hotel is right off a busy highway, but once inside, no road noise, which makes it perfect for an overnight stay, and it's in a good location.. close to restaurants. It is an older hotel, showing signs, but clean. Free breakfast is provided, but it is not good. The air conditioner was working perfectly.

The staff at this hotel were extremely helpful and attentive. From early morning breakfast to the evening shift, we consistently received a warm welcome. The housekeepers were also accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

On our first night, my teenage daughter became locked inside the bathroom because the bathroom door malfunctioned. When I called the front desk, the person who answered sounded annoyed. Maintenance arrived and opened the door with a tool. He told me this had happened before, that the bathroom door needed to be replaced, and that there was nothing he could do. He even asked if I had tape to keep the door from closing. As a mother traveling with a teenage daughter and two boys, being told not to close the bathroom door for privacy was not an acceptable solution. Although I was frustrated, we were exhausted from a long drive and tried to make the best of it. After spending some time at the pool, we returned to the room. While one child was showering and the other two were brushing their teeth, another child accidentally slipped into the bathroom door, causing it to shut and lock again with someone trapped inside. This time I called the front desk and was told maintenance had already left for the night. Thankfully, a very kind front desk employee came to help and brought the same tool maintenance had used the first time. I explained what maintenance had told me and asked why a room with a known issue was being rented. She said she was unaware of the problem. She also mentioned that something similar had happened a couple of days earlier, but they assumed it was teenagers playing around rather than a defective door. After trying to open the door for about 30 minutes, I finally managed to get it open myself, and the lock mechanism completely fell out of the door. The following day, maintenance repaired the door without replacing it, which made me question why it wasn't fixed after the first incident. The rest of our stay was uncomfortable.

Nothing comes to mind exactly. We had a pleasant stay.

Nothing! Front desk person didn’t greet us, looked annoyed that we were even checking in. First room we were in was dirty. The toilet seat had urine stains - I quickly went back down and asked for a different room which I got. The 2nd room was better but dusty and dirty- we were exhausted so we stayed barely slept - property looks really nice from pictures not so in person.

The Hampton Inn in Baton Rouge is a very nice place to stay, clean,friendly staff, lighted parking lot. It is close to a number of nice restaurants. I will stay there again.
