Residence Inn by Marriott Cleveland Beachwood

Property was a little worn. They did post that an entire refresh/update is being done in November. I would try again after that is completed.

The door to our room and to our bathroom jammed, you had to push hard to open and the bathroom door had the top hinge loose - things that should have been noted by staff when cleaning the room prior to our arrival. The mattress in the sofabed was gross, old and very very very worn out. The garbage cans in the parking lot were overflowing and garbage falling out. Breakfast buffet was great though and the staff was friendly. The hotel is really worn out and needs a good touch up.

Staff was great and location was good. Room hvac didn’t cool the room properly and the doors did not close properly without getting stuck. Maintenance is scheduled to be done to revamp the hotel in a couple months so hopefully that fixes things.

The only reason this hotel gets more than 1 star is the staff. I’m pretty sure this is the original Residence Inn and it hasn’t been updated since it was opened. The property is in obvious disrepair and needs a lot of work. Being an older property isn’t necessarily a deal breaker, but there was trash in the stairwell that wasn’t picked up during our stay, the trash cans outside were overflowing the whole time, and the room had a noticeable smell to it.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The complimentary breakfast was spot on. The hotel is convenient to I-271 and located in a nice area that is a short drive from trendy restaurants. The hotel is scheduled for a refurbishment in November 2026, according to information posted in the elevator. The hotel rooms feel a bit outdated snd the carpet needs to be replaced to rid the hotel hallways of a stale smell. I think when this happens itceill make this hotel more appealing.

Dirty towels were left in my room but overall it was a decent stay.

We booked our room for three nights, and it was never once cleaned or even attended to at all. The ambience was not pleasant. Everything was old in the need of refreshment. We booked residence Inn because of a good reputation, but we’re extremely disappointed and would never stay there again.

A little more detailed cleaning is needed, hallways, parking lot and corners of rooms. I would definitely stay there again though. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was very good. Over all cleanliness was very good!

A bedroom door hanging off its hinges with a split door frame and exposed nails— Body wash and shampoo dispensers torn from the shower wall and lying in the bathtub. A bathroom shelf hanging loose from the wall. A closet shelf partially detached and unable to support any weight, rendering the closet unusable. Missing cabinet doors beneath the sink, leaving plumbing exposed. An upper cabinet split down the middle. A window screen cut in half and partially removed. Multiple lamps leaning sideways and missing light bulbs. A sticky, unidentified substance on a bedside table. Unfortunately, the second room was also unacceptable. The fireplace in the living room was missing a protective cover, exposing internal components and piping in the area where my nieces would be sleeping. No skillets or cookware. No dish soap. Only two forks for five guests. No plates. A coffee maker was provided without a coffee pot. The cabinet floor beneath the trash can was visibly rotted and sagging. The couch sat unevenly and appeared damaged. A bedside drawer contained religious mater A hotel employee smoked a cigarillo near the pool area where the kids played The equipment in the fitness was severely outdated and there was no water At approximately 1:30 a.m., loud banging and disruptive activity from the room above. I called the front desk multiple times over the course of nearly an hour... this is not enough room to continue will all of the disappointment.

The property was well located for what I was looking for. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and I did not use any of the amenities.

The breakfast was okay except for running out of coffee. The location was okay. The bed was too hard, very limited kitchen supplies, the main television needs to be updated, the pull couch was old and sagging, the desk light did not work and the desk itself was broken and there was no chair. Definitely not worth the price.

The rooms are very spacious and clean
