The room was great. Nothing fancy, but it was clean and comfortable. The location was great and the price was reasonable. The room cleaner knocked on our door at 9am to tell us to leave when check out was supposed to be at 11am. Thankfully we were about to go, but it felt weird and rushing.

It was clean, quiet and centrally located. The front desk people were very helpful and accommodating. I forgot to ask for a ground floor room as I was traveling with my mother who has trouble with stairs and they made sure our room was on the ground floor with a very short walk from the parking lot. We will definitely be staying there next year when visiting family again. And the beds were surprisingly comfortable. The only thing I wish was the parking lot was a bit bigger, on busy nights we had a tough time finding a parking spot. But that was a very minor issue and will not deter us from staying there again.

Location No water during a time we had to shower for a retirement party

This place was quiet at night. I was able to get a full nights sleep without the usual hotel noises. The 24hour staff was present and available when I checked out at 330 am. My vehicle was parked in a well-lit area and felt it was a safe location. The bathroom had hair in/on the tub at arrival. The bed sheets were a bit rougher that I like. The white top cover could use a better cleaning.

For the cost, this is a no-brainer.

The young lady at the front desk was wonderful; very friendly and professional. However, the room was full of furniture that did not present a positive environment. In the future I would not stay here again; and, I would suggest anyone looking for a motel to look elsewhere.

The Pepper Tree Inn is a fantastic option if you want to save money without sacrificing comfort. The rooms are incredibly cheap for the area & the location right off of 217 is perfect. It’s close to the Washington Square Mall & positioned well between I-5 & Hwy 26, meaning you can easily get downtown in under 15 minutes. The room itself was clean & the beds were very comfortable. Just keep your expectations realistic regarding amenities since you are paying a much more reasonable rate than elsewhere. It is a no-frills setup: there is no free breakfast & instead of full bottles of shampoo & conditioner, you get small packets & a mini bar of soap. However, the room is equipped with all the essentials you actually need, including a TV, microwave, mini-fridge, A/C & heating unit, iron, & a coffee maker. Honestly, I have paid more for a lot less at places that were supposedly 5-star hotels. Outside, there’s a nice courtyard with tables & umbrellas where you can relax during the day or evening. Because of the convenient location, you will hear some road noise, but it is not terrible. I live next to Hwy 26 & have to wear earplugs & still hear vehicles at night, when staying here with family, I didn't hear a thing through them. Ultimately, the stay was comfortable & the staff was incredibly friendly. A special shoutout to Bennie, who was always helpful, courteous, & highly professional, even when handling a misunderstanding we had at check-in. I would definitely stay here again.
