Sugarloaf Mt Motel

Once again, the staff was extremely rude and said they have no control over that. It ended up being $50. I never did get my $10 back even though it's been weeks now. The room appeared clean, but smelled really bad. I opened up the refrigerator and freezer and it was really dirty. They said my room was pet friendly, but evidently the pet friendly rooms are the farthest away from the pet area and they were out of poop bags and there was poop all over. I would not stay here again, and my main reason is because of the rude staff and the misleading pet charge. I'm posting a picture of the inside of the freezer refrigerator

The rooms were clean and decent no complaints there. My issue is with the manager. He was short and rude not only to the customers checking in but his staff as well. We checked in at 4pm the day of check in. He took copy of id and put a card on file, however we left pretty early for the day and put up our “ready to clean” plaque and when we returned in the evening the room wasn’t clean. While we were hanging out in our room I heard a knock on the door and it was the manager and he stated he had us marked down as not checked in. I’m not sure how this happened since he was the one who checked us in and seemed shocked when I told him we checked in at 4 pm yesterday. I had to go ask for more towels because the room never got cleaned and basically got questioned by the receptionist of why I needed more towels. I just want to know what would have happened if we weren’t in the room when the manager came by to see if we checked in. Overall the hotel was fine but the manager sucked

The location was great! Close to the highway and to a grocery store where we bought lunch supplies for our planned picnics while we were out and about. The room was comfortable and quiet and the staff were very helpful. Considering the expense of the average Bend hotel, this was a great value. Breakfast was hearty enough to give us a good start each day .

Well this was an experience! My first room had a dirty towel hanging on the bathroom door, blood stained in the bed sheets and pubic hairs in both beds. I went to the front desk and they “upgraded” me to a deluxe room. Got into that room only to realize there was confetti behind the bed, cigarette wrapper on the floor and lo and behold, black pubic hairs all over the sheets and pillows. I called the front desk and she offered to bring me clean sheets. I told her I wanted a partial refund and she said she couldn’t do anything unless I checked out. So we were just going to deal with it as by this time it was 10:30pm. After noticing the bed side table had sticky coffee stains is when I decided enough was enough. We checked out (my 9yr and I). I had to drive around bend to 3 different hotels before finally finding one. I disputed the charges through Expedia and after sending pictures to Expedia they were doing everything they could to get me a refund. Low and behold, Sugarloaf wouldn’t refund my money. This is absolutely maddening and I will never be staying here ever again. Later on at an appointment we had in bend, the dentist told me that the sugarloaf is well know for prostitution that goes on there. I would definitely be going elsewhere and wouldn’t waste your time or money with this motel or its employees.

Very noisy. Street noise plus guests tramping around till 02:00. Stayed on third floor facing street. Sounded like ice machine outside my door but there was nothing there, Deadbolt wouldn't latch and the window is so thin that I kept checking to see if it was open. "Breakfast" is a bunch of prepackaged single waffles, pancakes and bread slices that have to be heated up. Coffee cups didn't have tops that fit (too small or too large). Scrambled eggs looked pretty sketchy so I grabbed a bagel and left. Would not recommend.

Stopped in for a brief stay overnight. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was served in the main building from 6am -10am and had a good variety. Staff were friendly. Would stay here again.

Everything about the place was better than I expected. The breakfast was decent. The pool was nice. The bed and the pillows were excellent. It doesn’t look like much from the front, but it works very well.

I recognize that people have different taste and comfort when it comes to mattress firmness, but th the mattress in room 129 was truly hard and did not give it all

Breakfast was good, but not great, but for the rate I had hot options (pre-fab eggs, biscuits & gravy) so I cannot complain; definitely better than just a continental breakfast. For a 1-2 night stay it is great place to stopover, and priced affordably. Location on north end of Bend off Hwy 20 was convenient. Once it is fully renovated this will be the Cadillac of Motels!

Really amazing staff they went above and beyond, the blonde pretty lady was running up the third floor so i could have bandages and a working tv cable and remote control. Very attentive genuine staff

A really nice experience! The room was well-equipped, smelled nice and had a nice breakfast selection. Would highly recommend!

Did not clean our room after first night of a three night stay

Nice place with a good breakfast. The staff were friendly and the place was well cared for. Would stay here again.

We did have an issue with the deadbolt on our first room, which would not lock properly. The staff handled the situation very well and were helpful and accommodating in finding us another room. We appreciated how quickly they addressed the problem and made sure we had a room where we felt secure and comfortable. Being on the first floor was especially convenient, with our car parked right outside the door. This made it very easy to load and unload our belongings, which was ideal for a one-night stay. It would also be a great option for travelers visiting Bend for outdoor activities, especially if you have bikes, camping equipment, skis, or other gear that you need to transport and store. The room itself was comfortable and met our needs. The beds were comfortable, the shower had plenty of hot water, and everything was adequate for a short stay. Breakfast was fairly basic, but it included the essentials and there was coffee available, which was a nice way to start the morning. Overall, this hotel offered good value for the price. It may not make the best first impression from the outside, but the comfortable room, convenient parking, helpful staff, and reasonable breakfast made it a solid choice.

The hotel had a good breakfast and the pool had a bunch of floats and water toys for the kids which I thought was cool and the rooms bedding was clean which for me is extremely important

Upon checking in at approx. 6:00-6:30, Megan was incredibly friendly, helpful, and would have gone the extra mile if needed. A great employee. Check in and check out was easy. Rooms were well appointed. Linens could’ve been newer, but we’d stay again.
