Hotel Bethlehem, A Historic Hotel of America

Breakfast was good, but the staff was exceptional. The hotel was beautifully decorated and inviting. Maybe a few more choices for the dinner menu??

Beautiful, historical hotel! No beverage service in the lounge, and a VERY small bar, with patrons not allowed to use adjacent (dining room) tables as a bar overflow area.

If you want to reminisce on how the hotel would be in its hay days then this would be a good choice. I would recommend it for it's excellent location. Other than that it's just Okay on every other aspect

Pretty convenient for visiting Lehigh U and also right on the Main Street of Bethlehem, which wins best Main St in the US two years running. The photos of famous people staying there on the bar walls is also nice. The rooms and public areas of the hotel are tired - surprisingly so.

A beautiful and well maintained hotel with friendly and helpful staff. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Everyone we spoke with was extremely friendly and helpful! The registration desk clerk welcomed us and we enjoyed the cold, refreshing flavored water each day! The restaurant hostess gave us a great tip to visit Steel Stacks and the bartender’s creations and shared secret ingredients were outstanding! Even the floor manager who sat nearby while we played cards in the beautiful lobby after busy days chatted with us and gave us a tip about the historic walking path around this quaint, beautiful, historic city. We had a fabulous stay and will certainly return!

Excellent location downtown. Parking is easy with the hotel parking. This is an old hotel so expect smaller rooms and smaller bathrooms.

Things to keep in mind/some suggestions - If the website won’t let you make a reservation (I had tech issues), you must call and do so. You can’t use the chat function to book. - Make sure you do make a reservation- we almost didn’t but did (via calling) moments before we checked in and happy we did- it was packed. - Have lunch or dinner in the 1741 Terrace! We did not and regretted it the moment we learned all breakfasts are in the Tap Room. We only stayed the night so we missed the chance to dine in the Terrace. - ^caveat to breakfast- there IS a buffet style breakfast, but not until later in the AM. We learned this after ordering items from the Tap Room and saw a neighboring table order drinks, disappear and return with varieties of breakfast items from one of the banquet halls. **I am unsure if the buffet runs weekly or just on weekends. Highly recommend, plan to return and explore properly. Thank you, HB!

While the hotel was very nice on the outside, the room itself was borderline adequate. The bathroom was very small and the toilet needed to be flushed 2-3 times (every time). We asked for room service once and they only cleaned the bathroom (did not make the bed). The chairs in the dining room were tattered on the bottoms. When we went to a late dinner it took them awhile to wait on us and we were the only ones there. The bed was fine, food was good.

Beautiful historic hotel with lots of charm and a wonderful staff. Worth every penny !!! Will definitely be back :)

Exceptional

This hotel is the most unique and amazing experience I have ever had! There is so much history behind the hotel and it will send you back in time with a luxurious experience! The staff, rooms, and amenities were all top notch! Would recommend to anyone!
