The room itself felt like a warehouse: enormous space, sky-high ceilings, cold fluorescent lighting. Not cozy. Not safe-feeling. Just vast and unsettling. Then came the front desk experience. Late at night, I was walking to my room when I noticed the night shift guy had come out of his back room and was following me down the corridor. I kept walking. He kept walking. I sped up. He sped up. Just as I was about to run, he leaped forward and said 'Don't worry, I'm the front desk.' Sir, that explanation would have been much more reassuring BEFORE the chase. And the grand finale: between 4-6AM, the guest above me began what I can only describe as aggressive furniture rearrangement — heavy stomping, dragging, and at one point dropping something so massive I genuinely thought the ceiling was coming down on me. I was too scared to call the front desk. I just lay there, praying. This is a rustic oil town. This is not the place for solo travelers seeking peace of mind. 1 star.
