Public restroom in lobby area is "out of order" and, according to the front desk clerk, has been that way "for some time" with no definite date for repair. As a result, we were left no choice but to use the room they assigned for an urgent restroom visit. Upon seeing the room, we realized it was not as pictured on the Expedia website, there was no "laptop-friendly desk space" as described & there was barely enough room to squeeze between the furniture & the end of the beds. We requested another room but manager refused because we used the bathroom in the room - because they've failed to FIX their lobby bathroom! It was pretty much "take it or leave it", no room for negotiation, no concessions of any kind or even an apology were offered.

It’s cheap. Close proximity to I-20. The Tex-Mex place next door (Casa Blanca) is excellent as is the donut/kolache place across the street. This hotel is a mess. First: we arrived to check in and there was no one behind the desk. After 15 min I went looking and found the desk clerk just chatting with another staff member in the laundry room. There were multiple times we went by the front desk and it was unoccupied. Second: breakfast was awful. It’s served daily until 9:30 am. When we went at 8:15 the food had clearly been sitting there for some time. The eggs had actually changed color from where they had dried out. The biscuits were hard hockey pucks. The coffee was awful. The only thing decent were the waffles which you make yourself. This hotel is occupied mostly by oil workers who eat pretty early but if you serve breakfast til 9:30 food should be edible until then. Third: this hotel is not clean. They are short staffed which I found out when I went to ask the desk clerk for more toilet paper after our room was not serviced for three days. They currently only clean Tuesdays and Fridays, which they do not tell you when you check in. And even though we were there Tuesday afternoon and didn’t have the do not disturb sign on, they didn’t knock to ask if we wanted the room serviced. The manager came up separately and did it after I asked about the service. The beds were not made once. The gym trash wasn’t emptied the whole week and the towels were not cleaned or replaced. The whole hotel feels damp and smells musty. The TV had been wiped with a wet rag and you could see the left behind grime. Finally: things are broken and not fixed. My dad stayed in a separate room and his window was broken—it looked like from hail (not just a crack—a hole at least three inches wide). He reported it to the desk clerk who said “oh I thought we covered all those up”. One of the side doors out of the hotel did not read hotel key cards so people kept propping it open with rocks. The treadmill in the gym was completely dead the second time I tried to use it with no power. The shower was also scalding hot.

The only concern is when I asked for a printed receipt, the printer was out of ink. Usually this isn’t a bother but when offered an email of receipt one was expected and still haven’t received one.

A very good basic hotel. Not new and not fancy but clean and comfortable Staff was great.

You wouldn’t let my company pre pay without a pdf file and I had to pay out of pocket!!! Not good! I come to Big Spring once a week, but not here.

The staff members were nice. The breakfast was complimentary with a decent selection. Overall nice stay for the price.

Booked for 8 nights stayed 3, they didn't want to refund any nights. I can't recommend them.
