Hampton Inn & Suites Big Spring

It is located on a busy interstate and the road traffic noise is loud all night.

Was under construction but everything was great.

Location and cost was reasonable by today’s standards. Going under total renovation which was not listed when booked. No fitness facilities and lobby was covered in plastic and painting was being conducted as we checked it.

I made a reservation and also spoke to someone affiliated with the chain. It was not mentioned in our conversation or on any of the websites or on Expedia that the facility was undergoing a major renovation and that most of the amenities were closed (pool, exercise facilities). It was so noisy that the front desk staff stood outside on their phones.... The entire downstairs/lobby area was cleared down to the concrete and it was very dusty. The room levels smelled like paint. I NEVER would have stayed there for the price (over $200!!!!) if I had known ANY of this. Very deceptive.

The hotel is going thru renovations; when we arrived tiles were being put down in the lobby and the the sitting areas and breakfast room were in a shambles. Only 1 elevator was operating, and to get to it, you had to walk an obstacle course thru the unsecured tiles. The pool and fitness room were closed due to the renovations; because of all this you'd think some sort of discount could be had from the hotel! But none offered.

Be mindful that they are under remodeling construction so the entire first floor is tore up. No pool or fitness facilities available for now. My room was on the 3rd floor and it looked as though they had just finished those rooms. They were super nice and clean

The breakfast was amazing, especially the eggs. So much variety and that was a plus regarding a healthy diet selection. Noticed the hotel was in the process of remodeling, our room was very nice and all new. We did notice however the bathroom door handle and the strike plate for the door latch was rusted. Very usable, but quite noticeable since it was just recently remodeled. Tub clean up of messy contractor who didn’t clean up silicone was noticeable and 318 in the shower area near the top should be removed. Inspection after completion wasn’t that good of a job for final approval of the work done.

The back of the hotel was trashed with old furniture, sinks and toilets limiting parking. Renovation equipment and materials made the hotel feel trashy. Shampoo container was empty in the bathroom. The room was adequate but overpriced. I will not return.

Room was clean and very spacious. Breakfast was good.

Room was ok, beds were comfortable. They are renovating so there are bathtubs laying outside in the back parking lot. Looks a little trashy. Other than that it was ok.

The room was clean and very roomy. The staff very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. If you have a stop over in Big Spring, Texas, try staying at the Hampton Inn. You won’t regret it.

Unfortunately, the road construction around the hotel made it difficult to get in and out at times.

It was clean and the furniture in our room was new. The bathroom had been completely renovated. Convenient stop during our travel.
