Comfort Inn Birmingham Homewood

The hotel was nice and clean, and the room was very spacious. It was only 20 minutes away from our event. However check in was horrible! I book the room with hotels.com and they didn't have my room reservation. But had my card number booked for a room under a totally different name and for a single bed room when I request a double. I had to book an additional room to meet our needs that we didn't plan for. The staff did try his best to help and make things right.

Check in was quick. The room, lobby, and breakfast were clean and smelled good. This is a nice place to stay if you are in the Birmingham area.

Nice place, beds were comfy and plenty of space in the room. Bathroom was on the smaller size.

Great economical stay!

This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in! If off, tried to take a shower and the knob for the shower fell off in my hand. Next, there was so much mold in this place my entire family is now super sick! Contacted Hotels.com and was lied to by Alia that she tried to call the hotel several times to get an approval for a refund and said no one answered. I called and they answered right away and said no one had tried to call. This was terrible customer service AND a hotel that was not accurately described and we won’t stay here again or recommend this to anyone. When we brought our concerns to the front desk they said sorry and that was it no compensation, accept for offering another room AFTER we were already checking out! My advise, spend a few more dollars for a nicer hotel with better food ( breakfast 👎) and better customer service!!

The room was filthy. The curtain in our room was so nasty!! Then we get on the elevator and someone had wasted syrup and noone came to clean it up. It ended up in the wheels of our suitcases. Making it difficult to roll. Stay 1 night and will never stay at a Choice hotel again.

I picked this hotel because of the reviews saying it was so clean. Well, while it was mostly clean, there is a lot of work.that needs to be done. My room smelled, not sure if it was mold,mildew or what, but it would not go away no matter how much I sprayed. The bathroom had a loose tile, our air conditioner unit leaked even though the room never got cool and remained stuffy. There were some droplets of some liquid on on of the bed sheets. The curtains were dirty, and overall the room is small. Definitely would not stay here again. Breakfast left much to be desired. It was the same both days I was there- waffle, eggs and sausage.

Parking and check-in were super easy, and staff were very helpful. This is an old hotel that's safe and well maintained, but it's definitely dated and shows the unfinished patch work. Our first room had baby spiders come running out the ac unit. The second room had stuff on the floor we almost slipped on, so we had to clean the floor ourselves. We appreciated the microwave, cold mini-fridge, and clean bathroom, but we won't be back.

Nice room. Served its purpose for only needing for a few hours after a concert and to rest before a drive home.

Parking lot was fine. Staff members were really nice. My room was clean. There was a slight odor. But, it wasn’t bad. I had to extend my stay, so I will try the breakfast tomorrow morning.

Good hotel and close to shopping. I will be back.

The hot water came out immediately. The ice machine worked on my floor. The TV was very slow to change channels.
