The staff offered no compensation ,discount or assurance, merely shrugged their shoulders.

I drive down from Atlanta to attend a concert this weekend 6/29/2026. Check in time is listed as 4:00 which is already late. We arrive and try to check in only to be told they don’t have any rooms ready for check in because they allowed so many people to do late check out from the night before . I turn around and realize the lobby is full of other people waiting because of the same issue! Why would the hotel allow so many guests to do late check out knowing they were anticipating a large crowd the very next day!? People spent their hard earned money and time away from work to stay at this hotel and go to the concert only to be late to the concert because they couldn’t get in their room at a decent time to get ready!! I HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE at a hotel before. It was handled in such a matter of fact nonchalant manner that just added insult to injury. No type of compensation was offered, they suggested we use the powder room in the lobby to get ready and leave our bags with valet… NO MAAM!! You can’t even do the job you’re supposed to do now I’m supposed to get ready in your public restroom and trust you to keep track of my belongings with countless others for the next 5 hours?! Absolutely not! Worst experience ever! It literally ruined my night I had to force myself into a better mood to enjoy the show.

Exceptional Service!

We were in town for a concert and had to wait 2hrs after check in hours to be checked in because our room wasn’t ready. We were told we would receive a call or text whenever our room was ready and never received that call. We noticed that newcomers entering the hotel were getting checked in right away before the lobby of customers who had been waiting for rooms 1-2hrs. When we made it to our room it wasn’t cleaned properly. We used this hotel before with no issues. I really wished this situation was handled better than it was.

Enjoyed my time there. Convenient, clean and great service.

Sam at the front desk was amazing and so kind. He helped me so much after being displaced due to the gas leak downtown. He made everything so much easier.

The bed was a bit hard and pillows are too soft.

Excellent customer service.

The room was beautiful and clean. Nice room and bathroom. The staff was great, especially the valet services and the restaurant staff. The lemon cake was delicious, and the crab cakes were filling.

The location is perfect, especially with direct access to the Riverchase Galleria, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. The hotel itself is beautiful, with great amenities and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Hoover or Birmingham area!

Love it

This property is not what we have come to expect over the last few years, it is overdue for an upgrade. We waited over an hour after check in for our TV to be replaced (no picture). It was also quite noisy with small children running in the hallways.
-
Very helpful staff. The building itself is old and could use a little refresh. However, the rooms were clean. The halls quiet. The breakfast was.

All was well

Its nice having the hotel connected to the mall, this is a design usually reserved in other countries but rare stateside. Staff was helpful and prompt when needed, room was clean, would stay again.

Later that night, we were unable to sleep because someone nearby was smoking marijuana, and the smell was coming directly into our room. This is completely unacceptable, especially when traveling with young children. To make matters worse, the staff was unhelpful when we raised our concerns. We were also charged for meal vouchers for both our 2-year-old and 5-week-old baby, despite the fact that neither should have required one. The additional charge felt unreasonable and was never properly addressed. Overall, the poor condition of the hotel, lack of customer service, and unnecessary charges made for a very frustrating experience. I would not stay here again or recommend it to families traveling with young children.

Easy check-in and accommodating staff. The hotel also has a restaurant on-site. We ate each morning which was delicious with a variety of options. And, I can’t say enough about the staff. We had the most amazing waitress. She had such a pleasant demeanor and was very attentive. We definitely recommend staying here.
