The rooms were damp, and the bathroom smelled like sewage.

Our room was not cleaned properly. We found cloths and used towels in our room. The staff was not helpful at all. Breakfast was awful. The only thing that was worth it was the pool was warm.

property is old and not well kept. There are water stains running down the outside of the building. The inside is full of stained discolored walls, torn wall paper, chipped furniture and outdated amenities. Renovation is 10 years overdue. The best thing going here is the kind and helpful staff

The staff was very friendly. We had unfortunate luck w/our room(s). We checked in around 11 pm - the room reeked of marijuana (vaping is all we could guess). We asked to be moved - no rooms available that night. The next day we were assigned to another room (next door same floor). It looked fine - smelled a little dank but we figured we’d get used to that. Flushed the toilet ran the sink and immediately the room smelled like sulfer/rotten eggs. Housekeeping was outside doing their jobs- we asked her to come in a make sure we aren’t crazy. She confirmed the smell. The odd thing is I believe they new about at least one room stinking because the hallway smelled of heavy air freshener. I walked 1 floor down and no air freshener smell.. We were moved once again and the third time was the charm. It was fine. In all rooms - a little more thorough cleaning would be recommended (ie hair in the drawer that the blow dryer is kept, mold spots in showers). We didn’t ask and the staff didn’t offer for any price refund. I don’t think I would stay there again.

This hotel is the dirtiest and most unkept hotel that I’ve ever strayed at! Hyatt Place is a reputable brand that had never disappointed me but the last stay was a horrible experience! Dirty rooms, no towels, carpet was so spoiled that I dared not to walk on it without sandals, back door did not lock closed (safety issue), lights at the pool did not work. Mold on and around the ac. Oh the breakfast- it was crap- dry scrambled eggs and shriveled sausage links and stale cereal! No ice in the building and we couldn’t do laundry because the machines were broken. Had we not arrived so late I would have found another hotel. This is beyond pathetic and I was so embarrassed that my family and I had to stay here. Call me if you want to know more!

Great location. Rooms were comfortable and clean.

The bed sheets had stain on them and they was no pillow covers on the pillow s. We didn't sleep in the bed cause it was stain on the bedsheets. The hotel needs renovation ASAP!!

I’m not sure why this property has a rating on the higher side of the scale I was definitely fooled.

Elevator was broken. Security lights were out and missing covers showing exposed wiring. Stairway was clotted with broken carts and had water on it which made is slippery and dangerous. Staff was rude and unhelpful, felt like they could care less. Continental breakfast was a joke, hardly anything to choose from and the food was terrible. Will not stay here ever again.

Everything was dirty from the carpet in the rooms and hallways. Housekeeping used a key and came in my room while I was still in there. The refrigerator was rocking back and forth. It was a lot going on. I never expected this from this hotel.

Staff was very helpful and attentive

It smelt like mildew and there was a roach in the bathroom. The toilet had rust stains it. The breakfast was not good. One the elevator was out of order.

The first room we were put in the air didn’t work. The second room we got switched to the carpet was absolutely disgusting I could feel the stickiness through my socks. We had a 2 year old and definitely wasn’t going to let her run around on that. We left and are supposed to receive a refund and have yet to receive anything. Not happy at all

I recently stayed at the Hyatt in Hoover, Alabama, and this was one of the most disappointing Hyatt experiences I’ve had. The photos looked great, and I’ve always trusted the Hyatt brand, but this hotel fell well below those expectations. The front desk staff during check-in was helpful, explaining that one elevator was out of service and offering a second-floor room. Unfortunately, the room had an unusable peephole, dried blood on the bathroom wall, peeling wallpaper, dusty surfaces, a weak air conditioner, and ants crawling out of the bed. Staff quickly moved me to another room, which I appreciated, but it also had stained furniture and an air conditioner that barely worked. Throughout my stay, I constantly saw staff walking around, but I rarely saw anyone actively cleaning. Common areas were dirty, furniture was stained, torn, and even patched with duct tape, and wet floors remained unattended for long periods. I also had repeated issues with my room key not working. Breakfast was very underwhelming, with limited options and food that wasn’t hot. When I asked if there was cereal for children, I received a blunt “No” with no further assistance. I understand older hotels show wear, but cleanliness and maintenance shouldn’t suffer because of it. I expected much more from Hyatt and hope this location improves.

Good large room in good location. Breakfast had least variety of any hotel/motel of any that we have ever stayed in. No eggs, no waffles, and not even a single box of cereal. Coffe was very weak. Could easily see the bottom of the cup.

The staff were very helpful. The ice machine and one elevator were broken. The carpet in our room was stained and coming up from the tile. We were left 2 towels for a 6 occupancy room. The sink was broken and would spray everywhere unless you barely turn it on. Overall, the cleanliness and amenities could have been a lot better.

A little dated and keycard doors were propped open.

Hotel was clean but dated, staff friendly and helpful, breakfast was minimal but ok.
