There were a few glitches after checking in, but the staff were excellent and helpful to solve them. Property is starting to age but they are in process of renovation and upgrading.

The front desk staff was pleasant, but they booked us in an area of the hotel that was supposed to be blocked off. Nothing online said that the hotel was under construction. When we got there there were construction crews all over inside. We booked three rooms for four nights. One room NONE of the lights or outlets worked. One wall in a second room had non working outlets and no smoke detector. This same room was on the third floor and the elevator was out of service. There were hallways with paper peeling off the walls, trim gone, bedding and plastic on the hall floors, hall doors covered in plastic and taped off. Again non of this was told to us until we saw it when we arrived. I wasn’t paying 1500 for this. Expedia contacted the hotel and refunded me my money and we went elsewhere.

We booked this room based off the pool being one of the better reviewed ones. To say pool cleanliness and safety were lacking is generous. The kiddie pool was blocked off by a metal gate with white plastic garden fencing clipped on with wood clamps and then zip ties. The second day we were there, a few kids had slid the fencing up and were sitting on the ledge between the gate bars. The bottom step of the water slide has been replaced with wood, which resulted in a highly slippery surface. Our room was apparently renovated, but the flooring was not put in correctly. Resulting in gaps and bubbles under the flooring. The bathroom was not renovated either, showing peeling ceiling paint and a toilet that did not flush well. For the price per night and the deposit fee, I feel this all should have been improved upon. I have previously stayed at other hotels in the area for a cheaper nightly rate with waived deposits which were impressively cleaner. They also stated on their website that the restaurant was "closed indefinitely". No one mentioned that breakfast was served in the restaurant, so we ended up buying breakfast off site the 2 days we required it. We only found out about breakfast at check out, since the signs were out advertising it. Overall, our experience was subpar and we will not be returning in the future.

when we got off the elevator on the third floor, there was a horrid smell. it was a cross between musty/mold and animal urine. thankfully our room did not smell. I was also bummed that the hot tub wasn't working. For breakfast the next morning the food was almost out and there didn't appear to be anyone working that area.

Liked the staff the room was comfortable, but the room needed a bit more cleaning. Also, the shower was at best. OK the people at the bar i.e. bartender for the two nights that we stayed or three nights was very good different people each time so that’s a spectrum of positive people the breakfast not so much it’s dingy. It’s not very much of a selection. Consequently would likely not rate that very high, but it was serviceable and edible.

Very good very nice I like

The hot tob was under maintenance, that was a let down, rooms being worked on, and outside work . Doors not working outside, and kind of a funny smell. Didn't try the breakfast.
-
My room's coffee setup was not complete. When I asked the staff, no one was helpful. The shower bathtub did not have any antislip setup. Take showers at your own risk.

One of the older hotels in Bismarck. Has a lot more character than most modern hotels, would recommend both for families and individual stays with both a bar/casino and Pool/Waterpark.
-
Walking distance to restaurants. The hotel has a lounge and gaming room.

The tv pixelated most of the weekend. Told the front desk they said it would be resolved on Saturday and it wasn’t. We thought rain was going to come into our room. By the looks of the ceiling in that corner it had happened. Phone didn’t work to call down to the front desk. Tried calling in my cellphone got hung up on the first time calling. Placed a long hold the second time. I eventually hung up. Neighbor’s next door had kids up most of the night.

They’re in the middle of renovation. Room was generally serviceable, but was absolutely not anything to write home about. Staff seem to be very good. Did their best to help under very stressful circumstances I’m sure. Would I stay here again? Yes I am staying there in another three days. However I have myself prepared for the stay. The upside is that they have reduced the price to accommodate travelers.
