Comfort Inn Bismarck

Everything was amazing from the breakfast and the pool connected with the other motel's pool was extremely wonderful For our grandchildren, we always stay here and love it every time!!

Room was clean but looked a little rough around the edges. Staff refused to refill breakfast items even though there was more than an hour left for service. After lots of complaints from several customers, the items were refilled. Lots of unhappy customers.

Asked for a room clean part way through our stay, they came and took our dirty towels, but did not leave fresh towels, nor did they make beds. Other than that stay was good.

No coffee at 6::30 I was told to drink what's left.

I was ironing a new shirt and the ironing board had a piece of metal sticking out, which I didn’t see, as I was ironing, the metal made a hole in my shirt. I was not happy at all. The inside bathroom door was very old. That door needs to be replaced. The breakfast are needs ew furniture, which I saw a sign later that new furniture was coming in. Other than that it was pretty clean.

Hot tub was out of order. Room 229 the door would stick and we would have to use our shoulder to open from hallway side.

Shower was very big. Bed was comfortable. The 1st room we were put in was not an ADA room. We got moved into the room next door, which had a walk in / roll in shower. No matter what setting we put the AC unit on, it was always the same speed. The clock radio in the room had exposed wires, took it to the front desk but never received another one. There are no laundry facilities at this hotel. The shower wand holder was broken, it just hung down. Also no roll away beds at this location.

pool areas were awesome. this is obviously a 'destination' place for kids, rogue birthday parties, etc. (they advertise no birthday parties for insurance reasons, but it was obvious a couple groups were there celebrating). Rooms were average in maintenance---bathroom doors were delaminating from excessive wear and moisture, tiles in floor cracked, etc. Was a group of swim team kids there for a competition, whose chaparones were useless. Room next to us was banging chairs around, slamming doors, etc. At about 2 am, someone finally knocked on their door to knock it off. Didn't think it was 'average' until staying at a La Quinta the next night. Beds firmer, rooms MUCH cleaner, staff more cordial, and the most quiet hotel I've ever stayed in. (Billings)

Staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. The room was VERY small for 6 people. The hotel is very rundown and therefore seemed dirty. All of that would have been okay if it were cheap but I paid way to much for a tiny room

It smelled different.

They are in the middle of updating so there are older parts of the facility but not that interfered with our stay.
