It had a beautiful courtyard with a simple breakfest and attached bar for the evening hours. Very nice place, particularly for the price

This was such a cute place. Our favorite thing was the property and the walk down the path to the Cascade park and waterway. Is was private and quiet and we would never guess we were in the middle of Bloomington In!

This is a real gem, close to everything, beautifully landscaped with native plants, no road noise. Very helpful and friendly staff. I would definately stay again.

Older facility but maintained, the courtyard was a peaceful retreat and was close to a park with excellent walk pathways and play ground but very close to IU and downtown Bloomington

Very nice place to stay! Affordable, clean, quiet. Nice breakfast and the staff was friendly.

The gardens of wildflowers and perennials. The bar and restaurant attached. The bed was comfortable and rooms were clean. The room was economically priced. Staff was very friendly. The room was quite small and cramped for 2 people. If I could do it over I would get a larger room. The rooms were dated and worn and a little less accessible to the IU campus than I had hoped. The continental breakfast was basic and would have been better with a more expanded menu.

Updating it to bring it back to retro feel! Love the bar restaurant. Staff was amazing. It is in process of updating

Quiet. Really pretty courtyard

The Cascades is nice, clean unique little motel. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The courtyard garden area was my favorite. The bar nextdoor Sleepers was relaxing, staff and travelers there were friendly. Would stay there again for sure!!

Clean, quiet and very friendly! With a simple but sufficient breakfast. A very good deal!

We stayed in the room with 5 bunk beds. It was clean and roomy. The mattress’s were comfy enough. The room had a smell of moisture or mildew. The room was very humid. We had a good night sleep. Loved the court yard and the cascade park was right behind the motel. We enjoyed a walk in the park and the kids played at the very nice playground!

My husband and I have stayed here many times and have always loved it! The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are very friendly. It's always been a great value for our money. This time when we stayed our room had a fairly heavy perfume-y smell, which seemed to me an attempt to cover up a damp/musty smell. The room was on the very bottom floor (we had asked for an accessible room), so this may have been why. It had been raining a lot lately in Bloomington. However, the musty undertones combined with the perfume-y coverup was too much. We got used to it, but it was enough to make me think again before staying next time. If they were using a spray of some kind with that smell, it tells me that someone knew the room was musty smelling. It's too bad because we have stayed many times.

Most outstanding: water pressure. Minor inconvenience: tv remote battery ran out.

Charming little inn! Felt very comfortable as a solo female traveler!

Older motel in which noise from other rooms and unfriendly desk staff can be an issue.
