Cascades Inn

The guy at check-in was very friendly and nice. The room had that clean bleach smell - everything seemed quite clean and the beds were comfortable. The hotel has a lovely little courtyard for eating or relaxing outside. The location was great for our needs. It could use a little paint here and there.

We had a good stay overall. The price of the room was reasonable, but it wasn't a home football weekend. The room was dated, but clean and quiet. The bathtub backed up with water because the drain was slow. The staff at the front desk was helpful. Breakfast was simple but tasty. We will stay here again when visiting our son who attends IU.

Clean and somewhat updated. Sink had a leak that we handled and told staff the next day because we had a late check in. For the price it can’t beat!!!

Close to everything Nothing in particular

Excellent place to stay close to the stadium. It is not the prettiest place, but the room was clean and quiet. I highly recommend it as an economical place to stay.

Stains on the bedding. Bathroom smelled. Walkway falling apart, chunks of cement. Paint chipping in the walls in the room. Furniture old and worn. Not sure how this was 4 stars and worth $1500 for 3 nights???

Horrible people rude lie disrespectful

Location and staff were very nice The outside areas are in need of updating. The weeds were as tall as me and the sidewalks are completely falling apart. The price was crazy for the facility. We had only one bedside table.

The colors and the design in the room was very nice. It's an old hotel and could use some upgrades but very nice overall. Beds were comfortable. The garden area with fountain was very nice as well. I would stay here again. The continual breakfast only had some bagels, cereal, yogurt and a piece of fruit. No hot breakfast.

Room was kinda outdated and could have some major updates , staffs were quite helpful.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. Loved the courtyard and the room was updated and very nice. The breakfast was bare-bones (bagels and cereal) but definitely got the job done before our long drive after visiting our kids at IU. We didn’t get to the bar, but they had live music there one another of our trips to Bloomington. It’s not within walking distance to Kirkwood, but close enough for a short drive. We would stay again. Note the price fluctuates wildly depending on the weekend. We stayed for less than $120 on the weekend we were there, and the price on the weekend we planned to return was, and I’m not kidding, 10 times that much!

It needs updating. It could be a beautiful hotel. It’s been neglected The little garden that could be made into a sanctuary

Room was nicely decorated and comfortable. Some of the staff were friendly. The staff of the bar attached to the hotel were very friendly. The tub stopper did not work and I really needed a long soak after my drive. The exterior of the building is hideous and in poor repair. Staff who checked me in was nice, the one who checked me out was not so friendly. The complimentary breakfast was a joke.
