Location-close to town View-looks toward the mountains and down onto Lake Chetola Darren @ front desk was extremely helpful. Quaint and quiet The second and third floors require climbing steps. Darren carried my suitcase to my room when he noticed I was walking with a cane. I should have asked about stairs, with the name Cliff Dwellers. The location was perfect. Across from the red light was the road to downtown. Blowing Rock is quaint and small. Lot of specialty shops, and people were friendly.

We had a loft room, which was a funky, split level situation with a lower living room and a king bed upstairs. 80's furnishings were fine. They had ice placed in our room since we arrived after hours. They were super easy to work with leaving the keys for us. Great value. Some elements make you feel like you are dwelling in cliff...I say that only half seriously. Our loft room's floor was slanted down hill...we we thought was somewhat charming but clearly not up to code. They perfumed the room which we didn't like. You can't really walk to the town as you have to cross a major highway.

As with many of the properties in Blowing Rock, it is an older property with charm. Very clean and well kept.

A very unique location that was tranquil and relaxing. Beautiful place in the world. We only had 1 day, the property was amazing.
