Our stay was great, property clean & well maintained. Rooftop evenings were enjoyable, great sunsets. Loved the quiet laidback coffee & breakfast.

It’s a nice place, but it’s overpriced. You’re paying for location and convenience. Parking is also a challenge. You have to park in ad gravel lot 100 yards away.

Great boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Boone. Awesome rooftop bar with amazing views at sunset!
-
Great location. Rooms had character. Loved the rooftop bar and the courtesy breakfast was amazing with lots of really good options. All staff were helpful and fun to talk to. Will stay there again.

Emma at the front desk wass great, nice place

Breakfast was great. Service was wonderful. Rooftop bar is great. Quite a bit of seating but the rooftop is open to the public so it fills up fast.

Liked everything with nice free breakfast. Absolutely wonderful staff!

Parking situation is poor, particularly with bad weather. Must carry belongings across alleyway, up a hill and through gravel to get the back entrance of hotel. No drop off area in front of hotel. Had a tiny window in our room that was close to ceiling so couldn’t see outside. No ventilation in bathroom. Good location and rooftop bar is nice.

Would have loved to have a microwave in the room. The shower pressure was on the lower side otherwise everything was excellent.

I have had better stays at A La Quinta. I feel completely ripped off. Starting with parking, which is not on property nor is it attended. $38 is ridiculous. The rooftop bar was literally the only reason I booked this place and it was booked during sunset hours. Staff informed me I could still go up at 9. I did, it was dark. Extremely disappointing. Then I showed up the next morning at my reserved breakfast time and waited for breakfast....10 minutes but no staff ever showed. Apparently they are ALWAYS short staffed according to another patron. Needed to check out so same patron recommended that I ring the bell...NO BELL. SERIOUSLY. Then a genentlmen appears, says what room and that's it. No, "how was your stay?" Have a nice day...Nothing. Evans in the bar was a delight and yes...the bar was short staffed.

Beautiful rooms with nice view of historic home and epic trees. Great location. Pull up in front to unload. The hotel parking was away from the hotel and hard to find with the construction going on Really nice breakfast, homemade muffins and scones, fruit plate, and yogurt.

The room was serviceable. As a Senior I wasn’t happy to see there was no shower bar installed in the shower. The toilet paper dispenser is placed in what I consider a dangerous location . You could walk right into it in the middle of the nite half awake. The TV kept buffering. We there only one night . I wouldn’t have stayed longer. Parking is a bit crazy too along with the loading and unloading area.

I have been to a lot of hotels all over the world and the Horton is my 3rd favorite! The staff members were all extremely helpful and kind. The breakfast was amazing. The interior design is exquisite, they skimmed on nothing. They are so attentive to the details too, like coffee and snack stations on the upper floors. The rooftop area is really beautiful with spectacular views. Love the Horton!!

The rooftop bar was a nice touch. Staff was extremely helpful. Parking was not ideal but would overall recommend

Great hotel. Great location

The room felt we experienced a bait and switch. Room was in a basement,no windows, and a very musty smell. The roof top bar was closed. Never again!

Our room was on the lower level, which felt like a basement (room had no windows). The room itself was okay, nice pitcher of water and glasses set out for us, which was nice. Linens and towels were good quality and very clean. Bed was comfortable, we slept well. Couldn’t wash my hair in shower because rainhead had weak pressure and would have taken forever to rinse out shampoo. The lower level hallway to the room smelled a bit musty and seemed a little run down. Parking was a bit rough since it’s in a separate area from hotel and it was raining. Breakfast and coffee in the lounge was excellent. Staff was very nice. All in all we would stay again but maybe not get a lower level room.
