La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Brownsville North

Breakfast the food was cold and the serving trays and area was not maintained. Waited thirty minutes for fresh coffee to be made. The staff was busy talking to some guy friend that showed up. Happy hour was one to two drinks and a snack depending on how you were. No music and the hostess was too busy talking to her guy friend to take care of things. After day two we started going out for breakfast. The floor tile in the room was cracked and loss, my wife reported the problem to the front desk clerk. later she caught her shoe on the edge of the tile where in sunk in and fell. I reported this to the front desk clerk and had him record it in the logbook. I tried to call the manager twice in two days and it went to a recording and went dead. The cleaning staff wanted to clean the room when we were still getting ready for the day. They did not clean the room or change the towels on two separate days. There were four of us staying in the room. We stayed a total of six nights. We have stayed here several times worst experience ever.

Too pricey, but it was Labor Day weekend… much nicer than I anticipated… breakfast was delicious and they had free homemade cookies… my plus was big rig parking…

Good breakfast and helpful staff.

Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast good. Was very clean. Serious moisture condensation developed on the floor to the extent that I was in serious danger from falling. This was all over the room floors.

This place was very clean and the staff very helpful. It took a while to get help at front desk, but overall worth the money . Breakfast was good. and no charge for parking,, just off the freeway.Will stay here again …

Wonderful place to stay. Highly recommend if you are staying in Brownsville!

This is an older hotel, but they’ve done an excellent job at updating each room and all the spaces. Hotel staff was also kind.

The room was clean but did have a few worn spots as to be expected. The staff was exceptional; Candy, Oscar, Martin, Alfredo, and Leo were courteous patient and kind. They all went above and beyond to make the stay enjoyable under the circumstances. The stay overall was great with the exception of not having an elevator available. That made the transition to the room difficult. We were in town for a baseball tournament and carrying gear up and down several flights of stair were not easy. I also have knee and neck issues, so I had to walk slowly. This was not a reflection on the staff; you could tell they were embarrassed to tell the guests about the non-working elevator. Breakfast was good and had some variety every day. We joined the Social Hour once and that staff member was rude (Dalia-bartender runs the time). She refused to speak to me in English even though I had heard her speaking English right before I turned the corner. Parking was easily available.
