The room was clean and comfortable and we had a nice view of the lake. The hotel was in the middle of a conversion to a different name, so some signage was confusing and some amenities were not available, but to be fair that’s temporary. Location is convenient to Church Street and the waterfront.

Very thin walls; can hear neighbours snoring and talking, very noisy. Would never go back.

Great Location, Newly Renovated Room Surprise, the renovations were ongoing! Everything outside my room was a disaster zone. Amenities were shut down for renovation. There was an automatic light in the bathroom that was brighter than the sun. It was jarring in the middle of the night and I couldn't turn it off.

I didn’t know the property is totally in construction. From outside the building, to entering. Like new furniture, pictures, chairs etc. They are changing brands. The room however was updated and new. Walkable to the water and dinner. Staff were nice. I just wished it said it was under construction prior to booking.

There was construction which wasn’t a problem except the pool and hot tub were closed. We we’re hoping to use them.
-
Underconstruction. No prior notice. No pool or hot tub. No discount offered. Workers in hallways entry courtyard. Bummer. Most places warn you and offer a discount but not this place.

We thought are stay was excellent. The staff was great and even though under construction, the hotel did it’s best to accomodate. Loved the early coffee bar, comfy beds, spacious room. We had 2 complaints. We didn’t have our room serviced, and the sheets/blankets were short, need to be longer to cover your body. We are both tall.

There was a renovation at the hotel and we did not know it while reserving the room. We had a message about this from the hotel after. This was misleading and it did not worth the value.

Nobody told me that there is a huge construction going on
-
Location, rooms, staff, value for money It was undergoing construction so not fully functional

This property is undergoing major renovations and is like a war zone. There is dust and fumes everywhere. Parking is limited for check in due to construction vehicles taking up spots and the make shift lobby is found by walking through cluttered hallways and temporary signage. None of this was conveyed at time of booking or in the days prior to check in. Luckily we had a wonderful receptionist named Connor who when asked about compensation for the mess & inconvenience, offered to check availability at their partner hotel next door The Hotel Vermont. He worked with Meredith who was able to secure us a comparable room with a price match, which was actually $30 cheaper. The room we got was wonderful, though not full view of Lake Champlain, was a partial view. We loved all the special Vermont touches, including the local mugs used for the free coffee/tea station. Hotel Vermont was a win, sorry Marriott you lose and wouldn’t recommend you.

This was the worst condition I've ever seen a hotel that is still open. It was a full construction zone. There was a make shift lobby in a meeting room, no amenities (food, pool, fitness center). Worst of all, there was no notice of this before our stay. If you're in Burlington, I highly recommend staying elsewhere.

The updated room had a clean, modern design. The color palette felt fresh and calming, with soft neutrals accented by warm lighting. The bed was comfortable and the furniture had a contemporary style that was both functional and stylish. The bathroom felt especially luxurious, featuring updated fixtures, a spacious walk-in shower, and elegant tile work. What truly stood out, though, was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and eager to help, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Despite the ongoing renovations, we had a very positive stay and are excited to return once everything is complete. It’s clear this hotel is going to be something special.

The room was comfortable and as advertised. The facility was under construction, which was only revealed after the room was reserved. The lobby photo was false advertising as it looked nothing like that in person.

The Hotel was in a convienient location. Just a few minutes to walk to to shops and restaurants. We were quite dissapointed when we found out just a few days before our stay that the hotel was under construction. The pool, hot tub and bar were not open. We had to wake up to hammers and banging in the morning. This is something that we should have been notified about up front. They had plastic hanging around the entrance to keep the cold air out of the lobby, and when we went walked out a large chunk of ice fell off and hit me in the head. Not a great stay.

There was construction going on and pool and hot tub were closed. That was the main reason we booked this hotel.

This hotel is under construction but I didn't get a notice about it before arrival because they said I used a third party for booking. It had none of the ammenities that were indicated on the website because of the construction. Had I known about this, I would have book my stay in another hotel, especially considering the fact that rates were very similar.

Location Construction going on
-
Clean, welcoming and great for a business stop over. The staff was pleasant and had lots of info and recommendations for things to do locally.

Really overpriced for the construction zone we walked into. It will apparently be very nice when complete, but in the meantime I would recommend avoiding if there are any other options. Nothing is open, ie gym, pool, restaurant - you can use a nearby hotel, but just stay somewhere else. Make shift lobby. Construction all around hotel. We were fortunate and had a view of parking lot instead of the construction - sold as “city view.” Just not worth the price AT ALL.
