A Friendly Inn at Harvard

Small, nice people, nice guests, quiet Why don’t they change todwels every day? Poor soap supply

The TV had no cable connection. (Didn't work) When I asked the staff, he said just said NO. Not sure what that means and he never looked into it. we only had one night there, but we loved the hotel and would stay again.

Very friendly staff

I love staying at the Friendly Inn. The rooms are a great size, beds are comfortable, the staff are super attentive and friendly. I l love the communal kitchen with free coffee and the location is unbeatable.

The inn is rather old-fashioned and has a pleasant atmosphere. The staff is competent and friendly. They help with everything, even if it is outside their purview. There is no breakfast, but there is a kitchenette where one can make coffee or tea. Like the rest of the place, it is very clean and neat. The space is very small and cramped, however. The bathroom, in particular, barely allows for movement. The sink is so small that tooth brushing becomes an ordeal. I don't know if that can be improved, since the building is old and would need total remodeling.

Its very good value! I had a large room in this old house converted into an inn. Very comfortable room with great character. Very comfortable bed and super clean.

Extremely lovely staff, very clean room, very quiet and a bit quirky, which I loved. Parking right outside the hotel. It was great and a VERY short walk to Harvard Square and the T stop. Excellent location. Recommend !!!! The carpets could use a little upgrade. That’s it! The staff was especially friendly and helpful.

Lovely inn a short walk from Harvard and the T. Fantastic bakery just two blocks away for breakfast. Short walk to any number of restaurants. Exceptional value for the area. Not fancy, a little worn at the edges but for us that was part of the charm. Upper levels accessible only by stairs. Parking available on a first come, first served basis. Appreciated a iron to go to a event wrinkle free and a small refrigerator in room to keep water cool during hot weather.

This was my second stay at A Friendly Inn. It is a great alternative to chain hotels when in Cambridge. The building is old and funky, but comfortable. I like the fact that each room is different and has some real character. It's an easy walk to Harvard Square and the T. There is no breakfast available, but there is a coffee machine in one of the common areas. The inn is on a busy street, and if street noise bothers you, you should definitely request a room on the back side of the building. The only other negative is that the lighting in our room was insufficient - no overhead light, and a reading light on only one side of the bed. Two reading lights seems like a minimum requirement to me.

Room was clean and easily accessible Could use some updating. Fells a bit tawdry, although just fine as a solo traaveller with a great location for a reunion.

Great location, nice staff. Quaint building. Cleanliness: dust on shelves, hair on bathroom floor, and debris stuck to bathroom walls. Beds were extremely thin. Shades cannot block out street lights if you want the AC on, so it’s pretty bright inside.

It looks like they used to have breakfast before 2020. I wish that was still available.

it is in a great location and it's relatively clean it's basically like you're staying in someone's extra room that they don't use. Very basic. I can't believe I spent $280 for this room.
