American Inn

Room had vinyl flooring which was sticky, there was a 1-2” dip in the floor, which looked like a floor beam sank, another section of floor in the bathroom had been replaced and minimal effort was made to hide it. The room smelled stale like it was closed up for months in a humid environment. May have been a smoking room rather than a non smoking which I thought I reserved. Bathroom light did not work and the work around was to use the light outside the bathroom with the door open. Since bathroom light was tied to fan, that didn’t work either. Staff is friendly but I would not stay there again. Can’t complain as it was a last minute decision to stay in an area that almost all the hotel rooms were fully booked. I’m relatively sure I got one of the rooms reserved for when the hotel reaches near full capacity, so I was grateful for a place to hang my hat for the night.

Had to spur of the moment find a place to stay that allowed pets since we had no power. Staff was friendly & the room was cheap. Room smelled like smoke & the beds were the most uncomfortable thing ive ever slept on. There was still hairs in the bathroom so the cleanliness wasnt that great either.

Very cute.. clean and affordable. Nice little escape. Clean pool too.

The room had a musty smell.

Staff was odd about getting extra towels… room did not reflect photos or feel like a good place to be. If you can go somewhere else, maybe just go somewhere else so you don’t wake up to people yelling at each other..

I will not stay there again

Basic room with no frills but everything is very clean and well-maintained. Bedding seemed new. Def great for an overnight stay.

This place is a dump an absolute dump. The beds are from 1945. The place smells like smoke and mold. I would never stay there again.

Nice and close to a lot of places, easy to navigate Definitely a little run down, with some work the place could be very nice.

We didn’t expect a lot for the price. A lot of other places around were two or three times their rate. When we walked in the room it was everything a guest would need. Two comfortable, clean beds, a very clean room and a bathroom we could dance in; also very clean. That night I slept until 6:30 am. I am usually up a couple of times a night. Not last night. The only thing I would have liked was more pillows. But all in all, our trip was great, the stay at American Inn was just what we needed! I would highly recommend this hotel and I would book a stay there again. The pool looked so inviting but unfortunately I didn’t have time to jump in.

The staff was really friendly. I checked in around 10 PM, once I checked in I could tell that it was heavily populated with residence not just people passing through, which is fine and expected at a motel, but our room freaked like cigarettes. The beds were both wet, and everybody was itchy so I believe they may have been fleas as well.
