Motel 6 Carlsbad, NM

Stayed one night, I guess that’s it.

The air conditioning was cold but the room was gross! I don’t even want to know what was on the mattress cover or the walls, especially in the bathroom! The towels were discoloured it would be a great place to stay for a night passing through if it was clean, I don’t mean a little dust, it needs a very deep clean and new cleaners. I would not stay here again for that reason. Check in was easy and quick and the front desk lady was friendly.

Dorothy was helpful, conversation was short. Needed a quick place to sleep. AC in room 205 kept making a loud pitched noise. Couldn’t sleep all night. Multiple questionable stains on the walls throughout the room. You just get basic tv, no smart tv. Don’t expect any plush towels either. I ended up using my own that I brought.

Housekeeping came knocking on the door at 8:45am trying to open it to come in and we were still trying to get a bit more sleep bc we couldn't sleep with the uncomfortable bed and noisy people outside all night. We hadn't even checked out yet so why are they bothering us and trying to come into our room when we are still trying to sleep? We had a 9 hour drive ahead of us on very little sleep. Also, my son woke up with bug bites all over his legs and arms and even on his neck and face. They ended up getting worse with hives all over his body. We are currently in urgent care bc they got so bad. Never staying here again.

I knew that it would not have great amenities, and I was not expecting that. I also knew that it was an older place which doesn't bother me. However, I did expect it to be clean and well taken care of. The rooms were filthy. There were food stains on the wall in the bedroom and stains on the bathroom walls which I hope was not pee. The toilet had not been cleaned around the base at all. There was a weird musty, food like smell in the entire room. They need to hire a new cleaning crew and do some basic repairs in the rooms like fixing holes and painting. The only good thing was the helpful staff and the price. The air conditioner did work very well as a plus since Carlsbad was very hot!

For the price, it was a good deal while passing through

FALSE ADVERTISING ABOUT NON SMOKING ROOMS!!!!! I am traveling with a baby, which is WHY I booked a NON SMOKING ROOM. Original room REEKED of cigarette smoke! Went to be moved, lady in the office was kind of helpful with that, got assigned another room, IT WAS JUST AS BAD. My baby was coughing, her nose got irritated and congested, and this made her super fussy. DO NOT STAY HERE OF YOU WANT A CLEAN ROOM OR AT LEAST A ROOM THAT DOESN'T SMELL LIKE SMOKE!

Bed was comfortable Room ordered was given away, took a while for us to be able to get our room they had to make one available and it was very small, Noises, very loud no parking next to room

Carlsbad is full of men working in oil, and a lot of them stay here. Room has had hard use. It was clean enough, but badly painted and repaired. Parking was tight because all the workers drive big trucks. Not very nice.

Parking was available close to the room.
