Super 8 by Wyndham Carlsbad

Generally, we enjoyed staying at Super 8 Wyndham. The room was clean, the fridge worked well, the airconditioner did not want to start at first, but the cleaning lady helped us. The mictowave was kind of busted but still did its job. The drain in the bathroom was clogged and we left a maintenance request immediately. Still, the never fixed it during our three-day stay. Also, I wish the building locked, too, for better safety. So, pretty livable.

Everything was broken or closed... pool closed, no water. No free breakfast, dining hall being remodled. Broken dispenser for the soap by washing machine. Handmade Signs on Everything. Manager started knocking at my door at 8 am. When i got up at 10 they wanted to know if we had a dog.. . Came into the room to verify, very unprofessional. We will NEVER stay here again and recomend anywhere else in town. The Roadway in across the street is newly remolded. Oh and there was ths $100 deposit for the worst room ive ever stayed in... if things are closed you need to advertise this before booking. I feel hustled.

Super easy check in, Patrica was extremely nice and helpful. Definitely sweet soul. If you choose to stay there sprinkle her with kindness. The rooms were clean. Due to remodel they didn’t have breakfast but still worth the stay. Would come back for the price as well as how sweet the ladies were at the front.

The hotel was under renovation and the room we got was hot all night. It was bad. Service was great but that was it.

We found hairs on the pillows

They advertised they have free breakfast but none coz of renovations. Disappointed upon arriving and on having advertised as free breakfast.

All staff I encountered was horribly RUDE one lady even seemed to be on Drugs and was constantly nodding off at the front desk. On the booking site we are promised Cribs/ infant beds, Pool, laundry amenities, breakfast, meetings rooms, banquet hall and there was non of this available to us. Other Guests are allowed to run up and down the halls all night making all kinds of noise. The place is dirty dirty the bed sheets had stains (blood stains) on them best disturbing and disgusting. The pool is supposed to be available from May-September 9am -9pm no signage of any closure and when I went looking for a pool it was empty and filled with garbage and dirt. The 1 and only vending machine on premises seriously only had water, pop corn and 2 chip options. Only one ice machine available and you are only allowed 2 small scoops per room and they watch you like a hawk when getting ice.

no breakfest like it said it had.the pool was broken and not in use.that was the reason i booked it .i could have stayed at motel 6 their pool was working

Giving 2* because if you aren’t serving in the name of remodelling your property (which i didn’t see) then you must explicitly remove no breakfast available options on the booking platforms.

Rented here because supposedly it had a pool. It was never mentioned that it was out of order until I arrived and saw a sign adding"pool closed". When I asked what happened they said the pump went out and needed to fix it but when they did they haven't had a chance to clean it so it will remain closed. They didn't offer an apology or even some kind of reimbursement. The door to the room dead bolt didn't even work and it had over an inch of height from the floor so there was a good space for any kind of insect or animal that can crawl thru. I didn't feel safe at all. The coffee machine in the room had an old coffee pod from the previous client. The tub itself was peeling paint

The website said it had a breakfast and pool. No breakfast and pool had no water in it.

It was vey run down ! The tub finish was peeling ! I didn’t feel safe ! There wa NO Breakfast ! You get what you pay for !!! Horrible place !couldn’t wait to get out of there !

Trash in bags amd boxes at back entry door that lock was broke off of. Parking was for us at back door. Lighted but felt sketchy Concerned "Are we in bad area of town" Nothing advertised online was true whatsoever. Couldnt pay for roomat check in. Glad though cause i reserved 2 nights and dipped out after one. Front desk night shift was put out that internet down. Not my fault so drop the attitude. Am front desk very nice. Still cant charge my card. Still no internet. Later that day she called me and verified it was charge and it was for one night and it was agreed price from expedia. Dont waste your time here even if it was only for 8 hrs like me.

Super 8 doing what it does best. Clean room, ample parking, good breakfast and great location.
