Hofsas House Hotel

Cute hotel in a great location. Would stay again. I wish it were more clean, had a kettle in the room, and the hair dryer was newer (it doesn’t dry). I also wish it had slippers and bath robes.

The hotel is about .6 mile walk to the beach, which we did every day. The room was nice. My favorite part was the small table and chairs on the deck in front of the room with a view to the ocean where we had our wine and take out dinner- it was beautiful and peaceful. The room had a very small table with an oversized lamp that we had to put on the floor to be able to use the table. The chairs were very old and needed gluing or replacing.

Cute little pink hotel with charming artwork. Breakfast in the morning saved us time and money for adventures. A lot of stairs but my old chubby butt needs it!

Location and and friendly and helpful staff. View but in we had two cloudy mornings not really enjoyed that option. Very soft mattresses of the bed

The breakfast and the bed was very comfortable. The room itself was comfortable, but it was extremely noisy. The walls and ceiling were paper thin and we were on the bottom floor, so we heard everything from the room above us.

Wonderful staff. Our plane from San Francisco could not land safely that evening in Monterey airport because of thick fog so the plane returned to San Francisco and we ended up renting a van with other passengers and drove to Carmel. We arrived late at midnight at the hotel. To show sympathy to all this hassle we went through, the receptionist (I forgot her name) kindly upgraded our room to one with a balcony where you have a nice ocean view. She also left us specific instructions on how to enter our room as the front desk was already close that evening but when we could not unlock the door, the on call guy came right away to help. The staff were also helpful in giving information about the town, where to go to find the beautiful scenery and how to get there. Breakfast was delicious and we liked it that they provide us with a tray so we can take our food to our room and eat while enjoying the nice ocean view.

Other than the a/c not working which was ok because even in late June it was 60's degree. It was good all the way around.

The hotel is very well located but the property is very old and outdated. Also we were place in a room next to the office and we were traveling with a dog. So dog barked everytime someone walked by our window, which was all the time. I hope they can upgrade soon and make it more modern.

The ocean view was beautiful. It was so peaceful and quiet there, and the flowers in the landscaping are so beautiful. The coffee was kind of weak, but the continental breakfast was great.

The room was huge, like an apartment. Great location, walking distance to downtown restaurants and shops. Breakfast can be taken to your room in the morning. A little outdated, breakfast didn't have much variety

Unique and retro themed hotel. Very well maintained but keep the unique flare that makes it a highly recommended place.

Location is great with free parking. The rooms are charming and clean. Staff is friendly and breakfast and coffee is convenient. Nothing that we didn't like.

The staff are decent .. I noticed something in the sauna came next day & seems they fixed it The ceiling & walls are so thin .. If you are a light sleeper forget about it .. you are sleeping & waking up with the people’s above your rooms schedule :(( I had someone above me that kept making noise from 6AM walking around for 2 hours in their room Pool needs to be heated more specifically if the weather is windy n cold

The room was very clean and very pet friendly.

Was pretty outdated & shabby for the price. The 'breakfast' was scant. A few dry pastries, some small fruit, some coffee. Won't be going back for that high of a cost. I could have been happier at a Motel.
