It is like minute to be in the middle of the town And they have parking and lovely crews in the hotel They change the tv hahahah i love the pic for the old tv

The staff was nice and tried to help with the problem The problem was the horrible smell inside the rooms I was offered a different room but same smell The old furniture and carpet and this hotel in general needs a serious renovation Its extremely overpriced Extremely uncomfortable to sleep and stay in the room And the saddest breakfast i experienced in a hotel Unbelievably bad Avoid this place at all cost

Location. Old school looks. A lady, who identified herself as the owner, went completely crazy, full Karen-mode, because apparently I parked on street in front of hotel in a wrong spot. In the same outburst accusing me of having scratched her car because “how else could I have parallel parked the way I did”. Must have been embarrassing for the nice front desk employee who called me to come out of my room for this encounter.

The location can’t be beat. Cute cozy lobby & thoughtful to have breakfast. Other stellar options and coffee in walking distance Staff was welcoming, and parking was easy for our large SUV. We had two rooms, one was spotless and had no odors. The other suite was musty but clean. That being said, we would definitely stay here again for a night or two

The facility was clean, maid service well done each morning. Close to shops, restaurants and just a few blocks from the main street. A very nice selection of breakfast items were available. However, service should begin at 7 AM. Unfortunately, this facility is dangerous for seniors. Only a few rooms are at street level. The rest of the facility is accessed by steep stairways. The Stairs were Horrendous, especially when wet (morning fog). There should be a "caution message" on the website warning of the stairs situation. The shower stall was very tight and it did not drain well, standing water remained on the shower floor. (Caution for seniors.) We each only used it once during the stay.

The hotel facilities are really good. Nice and comfy beds and convenient inside parking. The staff was so kind with us! Could incorporate a couple more things in the breakfast to make it amazing!

The room was a good size with a comfortable bed and seating area. Plenty of clean towels, coffee and toiletries are provided to enhance your stay. Staff are lovely and helpful, and on hand if you need them. Check in was quick and easy. A lovely continental breakfast is provided in the reception area, with a nice choice of pastries, fresh fruit and yoghurts, hot and colds drinks are also available. A bonus for the hotel is the pool and sauna rooms. The hotel is in a great location to visit the local area of Carmel and also Monterey, Pebble Beach and other beautiful places, too many to mention! Please don’t let the below deter you from booking this great hotel, I believe in honesty and transparency, it is my opinions and are noted to support not criticize. Unfortunately, there were dog hairs on the bed valance, something I have a real issue with is animal hair in bedding. This has made me realise that I need to ask for a room that isn’t used for customers with animals, or maybe it is something that needs to be checked when a booking is made. I have allergies and this could have been a reason why it was heightened at the time. Parking wasn’t easy, on the first night we had to find a space in the street and get up early to move it as there are time restrictions for street parking throughout the area. We felt sorry for the staff who were on breakfast duty, unfortunately some customers took advantage of the help yourself items, greedily taking way too many pastries for themselves, no thought for others waiting patiently. I found the pillows a little too hard and the room quite hot even with the temperature control.

Historical. Quaint. Near everything. Staff was very helpful. Ocean view. Rooms are dated. It’s like stepping back in time.

Francisco,assist us well. Welcome us with a good smile that felt us comfortable. Coffee machine was broken inside our unit ,but it was answered quick by the housekeeper.

Breakfast was acceptable and nourishing. Great variety.

The location is great - walkable to downtown. Rooms were not super fancy but were clean and staff was very nice. More affordable than other hotels in the area. It has a pool and sauna and free pastries, coffee, fruit etc in the mornings. Nothing.

Good value. Very comfortable. Good location. We walked to many the things we enjoy in Carmel. Some of the bathrooms can use a little sprucing

You have to use many stairs to get to your room and it is difficult to get the luggage to your room. The room we stayed was very small and outdated. We are two retirees and never spent a night in such a old building

It’s not always easy to find a hotel that truly welcomes pets, especially when you’re traveling with two dogs, but this one exceeded our expectations. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and genuinely dog-friendly place to stay with their furry family members.
