Tradewinds Carmel

The room and bathroom needs updating. No air conditioning. We needed to keep the balcony sliding door open and run a small fan to cool off after walking around outside for a few hours.

Incredible stay! Exceeded our expectations and we loved every second there. Can't wait to go back!

The check-in was rocky to say the least. We tried to check-in a half hour early but our room was not ready. It was no big deal but we had had a long travel day and decided to wait in the small lobby. The man at the desk must have asked us our name 5 times like he had never seen us before and then said he only had us for one night instead of 4. We were ready to get up and leave but thankfully a colleague took over, assured us all was well and got us to our room. After a bumpy start the rest of the stay was great. Location to downtown Carmel a plus.

Great little place to stay. Only reason I didn’t rate it higher was it was a bit smaller than expected. Staff were great. The property grounds were extremely well taken care of. Local shoppes and neighborhood was perfect.

Clean, spacious room. Friendly staff. A little noisy, but not horrible.

This property is wonderful! It was spotless and every day we saw them sweeping steps and general cleaning of the grounds. Breakfast was brought to our door daily (and promptly at the time requested). The whole staff was lovely and genuinely cares about how our stay was going. I can not recommend this place enough! Easy walk to shops and restaurants and the beach!! Our son and girlfriend flew into Monterey and it is only a 12 min taxi ride to the hotel! So incredibly easy!

We loved our stay at Tradewinds! The hotel was so clean and cozy and we loved the fireplace in our room. I would absolutely stay here again.

Downside was that the TVs don’t have Netflix or pay per view.

Very quite . Clean but rooms need updating, lighting in room was not good. Ocean view was more like roof tops of houses. Bed was very comfy & fireplace was nice.

Pleasant and helpful staff.

With the exception of the very nice gentleman that helped to bring our luggage to our room the staff seemed put out and bothered.

Pros: Tesla charging available Breakfast basket included but pretty basic. Convenient if you have young kids and just need to have food ready in the morning. Cons: terribly slow wifi at 10mb/s Upstairs walking was very loud. We discovered our comforter had old blood(?) stains on the underside at the end of our stay.

Breakfast delivery to your room in a basket was a nice touch. Clean room, nice and helpful staff, but keep in mind with most of this area, No AC, so if in heat of the summer, keep this in mind, although they do have a fan in the room,

The room and the view were superb. We enjoyed the breakfasts delivered to our room and felt very comfortable during our stay.

Great Hotel, just a short walk to downtown Carmel By The Sea

Room was clean. Staff was accomodating and the breakfast was a nice treat.

Great location and amazing view of the ocean from our room. Would definitely stay here again. Staff was very helpful for local recommendations.

Staff: very friendly, helpful, and professional. Room: clean, spacious, well equipped and cute private balcony with beautiful greenery.
