Horizon Inn and Ocean View Lodge

Our stay was great. The location is walking distance to so many things, and the front desk staff gave us some great recommendations for restaurants and shopping. The continental breakfast was delivered to our door in the mornings in a cute picnic basket, and everything was fresh. The balcony was comfortable, and we had an ocean view. Lovely weekend!!

Breakfast was good enough to jump start the morning. Coffee maker in the room was a plus. Comfortable bed and very good shower. I wish there’s one but none.

Loved the room location

The staff was very nice. Although the property was well kept up. $888 for two nights was a bit much. We’ve stayed at many places in the Carmel/Pacific Grove area. We stayed at the Carmel fireplace in the night before we check into this place and although there wasn’t all of the amenities, the price was less than half to stay there. If I am going to pay over $450 a night for a room, it should be close to luxury

Really close to Carmel by the Sea. Walking distance to so much. The breakfast basket in the morning was such a great touch and the free happy hour at night was a great way to taste new food and wines My particular room felt like it had a little less privacy than others dude to where it was and other guest traffic.

My sister and I had a wonderful stay at Horizon Inn & Ocean View Lodge in Carmel. The hotel was charming, clean, and incredibly comfortable, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived. We loved the convenient location, which made it easy to walk to the shops, restaurants, and beautiful Carmel Beach. The room was cozy and relaxing, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The complimentary breakfast and thoughtful amenities made our stay even more enjoyable. We made wonderful memories together and would gladly stay here again on our next visit to Carmel!

Absolutely perfect escape away for us. They even adjusted the adorable morning breakfast basket to be gluten free! The evening wine and cheese was lovely. The balcony view was fad. The bed was so comfy. Loved it!! Easy walk to town.

The property is beautiful. It has that rare, authentic Carmel charm where you can feel the crisp coastal breeze from your patio, completely tucked away from the noise but still just a short, beautiful stroll from the heart of town. Parking can be a bit tricky.

This was a really nice place to stay! Great location, close to the beach and restaurants, and the landscaping and all the flowers were gorgeous! The room was older but really clean and comfortable. I appreciated having access to the hot tub and outdoor fireplace and while I did not partake, the happy hour was a nice touch. The breakfast basket was also appreciated. The reception person seemed indifferent but I felt taken care of nonetheless. All in all, I'd stay here again.

Great location, very easy to walk to Ocean Drive and the beach. The fire pit area is nice and parking was handy too Stayed in room 111 and immediately noticed a very musty and unpleasant smell. The staff would not change our room - advising that the prior inhabitants had not complained about the smell - so we were offered a chemical neutraliser instead. We then had to move rooms for one night before moving back into that room as one of our party was pregnant and it wasn’t suitable for them to sleep in the room without adequate time to air out. Upon moving back to room 111 we noticed it is right next door to the house keeping office and can be very noisy.

Loved the afternoon wine and cheese happy hour I wasn’t fond of the breakfast basket delivered in the morning. I would rather have less items of high quality than more of “meh” quality. Use a local bakery in Carmel

The staff here was very helpful and the breakfast basket was an excellent. The spa was also nice to have. We will come again but for a longer time.

Hotel staff were helpful friendly and welcoming. We loved the fireplace, the room was big, and the fact there is parking was helpful. We wish there were option to purchase drink / snacks, also we didn’t really like the breakfast baskets and the coffee.

Breakfast Basket was delightful ! Loved how spacious the rooms were and the location so we could walk to town was wonderful . Pool and Spa area with fire pit was very nice .
