It's a really cute beautiful property with attentive staff. There is no food available on site on Monday and Tuesday, but the town is around the corner and you can also easily Uber eats. They were also super helpful with dishes and cutlery so it wasn't a big deal.

It was a lovely hotel.. great location.. the food was excellent & the rooms very comfortable with all the extra special touches added in… The day we arrived the receptionist was not welcoming or helpful at all .. The day after however she was replaced by a lovely girl who was saw for the next couple of days who was very accommodating..also Cameron who was working several roles was a very polite & nice young man always checking if their was anything we needed …

We were really disappointed with this hotel- it absolutely does not live up to the Relais & Chateaux standard. It's old, and the rooms are extremely noisy. Though there are heated floors in the bathrooms, the rooms themselves are heated by ancient in-wall heaters consisting of fans and heating elements that are very loud. We turned ours off, but the people above us had theirs on, and it woke us up every 5 minutes throughout the night when it cycled on. Also, even when windows are fully closed, all of the noise comes in from the street. We paid for 2 nights and left after 1 since it was so bad. We asked management for a refund or credit, and they refused, offering to put us in another room with the same heater (they all have them). Avoid Room 11 at all costs (and this hotel).

Old rooms. Felt very dated

Beautiful property. Like going to Europe without actually being there. Centrally located within walking distances of everything you’d want to see, visit or go eat at in Carmel. Of course, you have a Michelin star experience at the hotel as well in their restaurant. The attention to detail all around, including the staff and service, was impeccable

Excellent all around! Great breakfast, staff were so friendly and helpful! We will definitely stay again!

Breakfast was good although not outstanding. For the price that was charged it could be better. Everything was very nice. We stayed for a one night only, so it is not easy to find any real imperfections.

Outstanding on every level. I wish I could live there.

There were stains on the upholstered furniture, gnats in our room and the dining room. Also coffee was available in our room but tea was not.

This is a very charming hotel in the heart of beautiful Carmel by the Sea. A wonderful experience with a fantastic dinner. The staff was very accommodating.

-
Absolutely wonderful and charming small hotel, incredible staff and a memorable experience. I won’t stay anywhere else when I’m in Carmel.
-
Did not care for how thin the walls are - we could hear the people above us stomping around and our room was on the street - lots of early morning street noise.
-
I enjoyed it very much!
