The breakfast was generous and delicious. Staff was polite and professional. Our room was clean, especially the bathroom. I'm not sure we had an ocean view...

This quaint hotel had all the amenities that I needed, even had a steamer in addition to an iron. Loved the turn down service with warm fresh cookies and departing gift of handmade granola. Highlights were the Nespresso machine and their breakfast menu. I will go back to Carmel so I can stay here again.

A beautiful, boutique hotel in the heart of Carmel by the Sea. Look no further this is the place to stray.

thoroughly enjoyed our days. Staff couldn't have been nicer and attentive. Love the hotel

It's a really cute beautiful property with attentive staff. There is no food available on site on Monday and Tuesday, but the town is around the corner and you can also easily Uber eats. They were also super helpful with dishes and cutlery so it wasn't a big deal.

The property is charming and very French feeling. The staff is uniformly charming and helpful. The room is comfortable and the amenities super. The breakfast is wonderful and very filling. The oversized tub allowed for a soak after hiking and was much appreciated. We will come back!

It was a lovely hotel.. great location.. the food was excellent & the rooms very comfortable with all the extra special touches added in… The day we arrived the receptionist was not welcoming or helpful at all .. The day after however she was replaced by a lovely girl who was saw for the next couple of days who was very accommodating..also Cameron who was working several roles was a very polite & nice young man always checking if their was anything we needed …

We were really disappointed with this hotel- it absolutely does not live up to the Relais & Chateaux standard. It's old, and the rooms are extremely noisy. Though there are heated floors in the bathrooms, the rooms themselves are heated by ancient in-wall heaters consisting of fans and heating elements that are very loud. We turned ours off, but the people above us had theirs on, and it woke us up every 5 minutes throughout the night when it cycled on. Also, even when windows are fully closed, all of the noise comes in from the street. We paid for 2 nights and left after 1 since it was so bad. We asked management for a refund or credit, and they refused, offering to put us in another room with the same heater (they all have them). Avoid Room 11 at all costs (and this hotel).

Old rooms. Felt very dated

Beautiful property. Like going to Europe without actually being there. Centrally located within walking distances of everything you’d want to see, visit or go eat at in Carmel. Of course, you have a Michelin star experience at the hotel as well in their restaurant. The attention to detail all around, including the staff and service, was impeccable
