Lobos Lodge

The facility and loc action were great as we hav stayed here a number of times. No cleaning of the room so we went to the desk and had to ask for more clean towels ......room not cleaned and at $500/nite ----not nearly as good of a stay as in past years .

Originally assigned and checked in to room 31... it was a King bed with a patio but no view other than the cement walls around the patio, and it sort of felt like a basement room. We slept there one night then asked if something else was available and to our delight we were offered room 43, with two queen beds and a balcony on Ocean Avenue - excellent! Some may not like the sound of cars driving by etc, but we like it and it didn't go late into the night. I think downtown shuts down early. Nice offering of pastries, fresh fruit, snacks and coffee every morning. We stayed 4 nights and don't usually request housekeeping but on the 3rd day we needed new towels, toilet paper, etc. So we put the 'please service' tag on the door but came in from a day out to find no services had been done. I asked the next morning and was told our length of stay didn't qualify for freshening up. Not a huge problem as I requested fresh towels from the front desk with no problem... just fyi if you like daily service.

It's a bit tough that you need to climb stairs to get to your room . All the other things were amazing.

The hostess was so welcoming and helpful! The place is beautiful and it was exactly what we needed- cozy, comfortable, nicely designed at the best location.

Couldn’t be happier with Lobos Lodge location, walkable to the beach, shops and restaurants! An amazing front desk staff! Room was cozy and super clean, we had a fabulous view from our balcony!!!

The location is amazing, short walk to the Carmel Beach and right in town, it was so good, the venue was lovely, plenty of room, super comfortable beds and lovely staff. Nice touch that they provide fruit, gourmet cookies and great coffee & tea from the office every day. We loved our stay and would highly recommend!!

Gorgeous and spacious - steps from the village and just elegant vibe. No better place to drop into nature's den.

Location - one block from the beach Essentially an overpriced motel that is dated - their website photos must be from 10+ years ago. Big windows are sealed shut and bathroom window would not stay open, a bathroom light did not work, sink drain rusty and sink stained.

The room is very outdated for the nightly rate. Everything feels like it was updated in the 80's. The wallpaper is peeling, the baseboards are bashed, etc. I would expect something remodeled for this area.

Breakfast iş minimal and could easily be expanded. Towels are GREAT! Location is optimal. So is the king bed. Incredibly, there is ONE USB port in the entire room. The biggest drawback is the lack of a kitchen sink. The bathroom sink is laughably inadequate for so much as a glass of water, let alone any other use. The bath is large, but not particularly useful, and needs a total update. And there is a complete lack of furniture throughout for unpacking and storing, resulting in clothing draped over the couch and chair. I thought this was a fairly high-end establishment, but in reality it is only average.

Close to everything, room was clean, cozy, bed was comfy. Would have preferred a better view of ocean

The rooms were a bit noisier than expected. Thin walls allow for hearing others in adjacent rooms.

Location was excellent - very close to the beach, shopping and restaurants. Room was clean and spacious. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Good assortment of pastries and fresh food was offered in the morning. Coffee was available in the office throughout the day. WiFi coverage in our room was spotty.

Seems awfully expensive for the level of room. I guess we are paying for the location.

Very clean, well appointed, excellent location, fairly quiet Breakfast could start a little earlier, could hear neighboring guests clearly.

We asked to check in early at 3:20 room wasn’t ready til 4 we said we had dinner reservations at 5 n was told come back at 4 and room will be ready. Came back still wasn’t ready n waited another 25 min while other customers were able to check into their rooms while we waited
