Beautiful and spacious 2 bedroom and 2 bath unit with a fireplace! Loved the quaint furnishings and traditional furniture. There is a nice little courtyard with an outdoor fireplace that had a fire going the whole time we were there. Check in was a little confusing as you had to cross the street and walk through a restaurant to check in at the Pine Inn (they did not want you to enter the hotel through the lobby during the day which was a little strange). Staff were very friendly though.

Really clean and cozy, recommend it to everyone.

Great location very close to the beach. Convient location, II Farnio Restaurant room service.

This is a Beautiful Hotel. Loved the private deck and the view.

Location & Views from our room were exceptional. A few minor maintenance items - peeling paint, rtc

Place is very nice and clean. Location is great. Little things like no instructions for connecting to the internet were provided. No in-room coffee maker was particularly annoying for early mornings or late evening tea/coffee. There was coffee available at the front desk from 7-5 but was not able to take advantage as we were touring during these times. Otherwise, pretty nice place for the money

What a gem in Carmel by the sea. Excellent location and very very spacious rooms. We stayed at king suite with a porch overlooking the ocean. Everything was excellent. Clean and friendly staff N/a

But overall, great stay, one of the best in Carmel, and Parking is a big plus.

The view, walk to ocean and accessibility to all the stores was great. This place blew me away. Sunset as great frim this room

Good location, walkable to beach. The room is spacious, had a peekaboo view of the ocean. Property a bit old. Our toilet was leaking the whole time even after a staff came to fix.

Great location. Staff very friendly and helpful.

$528 a night. The room was run down damaged. I don't think it has been painted since 1980. Wall damage from roof leaks. Dirty bathroom. The carpet was gross. The entry door didn't lock correctly. Metal-framed windows are horrible. The upper wood walkways are dry-rotted (painted over). Zero wayfinding signage. The fire sprinklers are ancient. Check-in staff had the personality of a rock. Could have said "Thank you" or been less of a goon. Gone are the old days of the fun Tally Ho and Pine Inn. Now it is just ripping off tourists for lousy accommodations. Shameful. Never again.

My family (2 adults 3 children) stayed last weekend. We booked the suite (two queen beds with sofa bed) at $500 per night. Great accessibility to carmel beach and downtown. But the sofa bed had almost broken mattress. We couldn’t sleep on it so we folded back to sofa and slept. So the suite , while it says sleep up to 6, barely accommodate only 4 people. So if you plan to reserve the suite because you expect 5-6 people sleeping there, don’t ever try it.

We had an amazing view of the ocean from our room and deck. Every morning I would walk to the little coffee shop around the corner and come back and watch the sun come up while listening to the ocean. There wasn't a coffee maker in the room. The pillows were very hard, but the mattress was comfortable. There was a sign above the jacuzzi tub stating to only use bath salts, but none were provided.

Clean room, great location. Walkable to nearby shops and restaurants. Amazing staff.
-
Location. Staff are polite and willing to help, but not very well knowledgeable about the area. Facilities old. Carpet dirty. Room has a smell. Towels and bed sheets not that clean.

Unfortunately, we have to downgrade this place because of the experience we had. Specifically Wen woke up in the morning after our first night, there were hundreds, if not, thousands of ants crawling on the bathroom floor. No doubt they were driven into the room by all the recent rains. When we brought it to the attention of the person at the desk first thing in the morning when they open, they said all they could do was spray. Of course, we did not want to stay another night in a room that had just been sprayed for ants. While the first staff person was perfectly nice, there was no apology and no offer for any other form of compensation such as a reduced rate for a $500 a night room, or use of another room for a second night as they did not look fully booked. So we chose to leave and not use our second night. There are many nice things about this place, but we feel they should've offered to reduce the price of the room or some form of compensation for our experience.
