Western Heritage Hotel and Conference Center, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Booked a room months in advance for our sons Birthday, only to be told they lost our reservation when their systems got switched over. Was told they didnt even have a room available to put us in and turned us away. Didn't even say sorry until we were headed out the door and it was a "Sorry, have a nice night". We were 4hrs away from home with nowhere to go after a concert so we had to take turns driving home at midnight. Would not recommend!

This older hotel has been well maintained and you can see that they've worked on renovations over time. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool is amazing and your kids will love it!

I booked this room so the kids could go swimming. Well, the pool was green and looked like toxic waste. When I checked in the placed smelled of sewar. The fridge in my room was broken and despite a promise to fix it, that didn't happen. Mold on the grout in the shower. Way to expensive for such a slum.

It was nice to be so close to the Aspen Center. Also, the facility had a lot of nice amenities- pool, workout, restaurant, great breakfast buffet. The staff were very courteous and helpful. The decor of the Hotel was rustic, very Wyoming. We enjoyed our stay. Bed sheets thin and wouldn't stay on my bed..

Desk staff was very helpful.

The front desk clerk who checked us in was absolutely useless. Did not provide any info regarding the pool hours, wifi password, breakfast, or even where the elevators were located. The room doors are not soft closing, so just constant slamming doors all night. We were also overcharged for our reservation. We booked on Expedia at a 2 night rate of $278.30, and the hotel charged us $283.10.

Pleasant

The breakfast was surprisingly good. We enjoyed a great selection of protein rich foods and sweets for the grandkids. The rooms were well kept and comfortable. This hotel is part of a convention center. The evening we arrived there was a wedding reception being held and the parking lot was full. We had to park far away from the entrance, which made security a concern.

Location. First, was given the wrong room type. Second, while getting the room situation taken care of, maintenance came up to the front desk and told them that the pool was down "again." After inquiring, the maintenance guy told me that it was an ongoing issue with pumps flooding the electrical room and tripping the pool pumps. At that point, we canceled and went somewhere else.

Hotel was clean and the staff was very polite and helpful.

Elevator kept breaking down.

Check in and parking was easy and quick. Room was nice and clean. Convenient location to both the Whiskey Butter where we ate dinner then the Event Center where we went to see Lindsey Stirling perform.

Exceptional

We were visiting from out of town, moving our daughter into Casper College. The 2nd night there, our neighbors were SUPER loud...yelling and screaming at their children. I mentioned this to the night front desk staff, Damian and Rain. They where both apologetic, and wanted us to enjoy our stay, so they moved us to another room. They were helpful and we were very grateful for this, and not expected. Thank you Damian and Rain for making our stay better.
