Well, I wanted to let you know that the main stay in Cedar Rapids closed. Before I could stay there. And I was called and told that they were closing before my state was supposed to happen then that I would get a full refund still have not seen that refund. It would be nice if somebody would send it to me.

I didn’t like anything about this property. The pictures shown online to advertise this place is nothing like what we expected. It’s run down and need of major repairs. The room was old and needed a major upgrade. The air was not on when we walked in. We turned it on and went to dinner and came back and the AC had cooled the room down but in the middle of the night it stopped working. You could tell it had been smoked in numerous times. The bathroom sink was broken; the water pressure was very low. There was rust issues all over the bathroom. The sofa had a bed bug crawling on it. In the morning I saw a tiny bed bug crawling on the bed. The breakfast was a choice of yogurt or muffin, & the juice machines were not working and there wasn’t any coffee. The owners were living in the room next to us. They were making Indian food and the smell of it was awful. In the middle of the night I could hear a guy from that room talking very loudly and couldn’t go back to sleep. When I went to check out there was a desk clerk so I grabbed Mr Patels business card that was on the desk to let him know about our stay. When I left I found the desk clerk sitting in her car parked under the canopy of the building smoking a cigarette. I told her about my stay and that there was the start of bed bugs in the room and all I got was a dirty look and an oh ok I’ll let maintenance know. That said she was probably use to hearing that. This place is for construction workers that are there to stay long time. There were several staying there. And when they stay and go from one run down property to another they bring in bed bugs.

The staff are friendly and professional. They're located near restaurants and shopping if you want to go out somewhere. The breakfast is sort of upgraded Continental-there's something hot and cold, cereal, pastry, fruit, juice and coffee. And they don't rush you to get breakfast and leave. Very pleasant! Oh, the personal products-shampoos and things, smell lovely! We keep off hours so it would be nice if check-in and check-out times were a bit more flexible, but that's how most places are.

The room had separate bedroom The livingroom tv didn’t work at all - there was a hide a bed - but no sheets blankets or pillows for it - strong smell of marijauma through out hotel - breakfast consisted of small muffin and juice or coffee

Nothing Ants in the room, electricity only in half the room( the half with the kitchen), the door handle for the bathroom wouldn't open from inside the bathroom- I had to push on the handle really hard to get my daughter in law out. The room didn't look anything like the picture of it that was shown when booked.

Easy to get too off the main road, close to where we needed to be There were ants in our hotel room, people left garbage bags in the hallway in the morning and they were still there in the evening time, the bed was small and not very comfortable, breakfast was non existent

Laundry: only 1 working dryer, people took our clothes out to put theirs in even though we were constantly checking. Seemed like several residents there, need more laundry capabilities Carpets disgusting 3rd floor constantly smelled like weed Room for 4 but no linen for the pull out sofa, only 2 towels Beds were awful, woke up in pain daily We went through at least 6 different key cards. Issues from the first check in, front desk said they’d put a work order in, likely the batteries, we were locked out daily and told it was the cards being near electronics even though we kept in the key folder, the lock/door seemed to have issues. Large breakfast area to just have muffins. Misunderstood the free breakfast thinking it was an actual meal Poorly lit hallways made it seem dreadful and dingy Soft spots in the floor of hallway felt like we would fall through the floor No electric doors for handicapped or even to assist with getting the carts in and out

It had the basics, clean sheets, hot shower, coffee and basic grab and go breakfast. Little dated, some transient things going on.

Loved the rooms and how they were set up. It was great. People were very friendly. Everything was great except the Hot Breakfast. There was NO HOT BREAKFAST. Only cereal, yogurt, and some pastries. Nothing we, my husband, and I could eat. I was disappointed there was not a hot tub. But that was my fault for not calling to find out. Booked a room for 3 and only towels for 2. It's frustrating when you are naked and can't go get one extra. Wasn't sending my grandson by himself. The swimming pool was too cold.

Other than being asked for a card at check in it was great

Room overall was spacious, bed was pretty uncomfortable and was harder than we expected. Bathroom also lacked personal hygiene supplies (shampoo, conditioner mini bottles) also, room heating/cooling into did not work in our room. Facilities overall were clean. Vending machine area was too expensive, $2 for a can of soda is too costly when you can buy a 12pk for $6-$7..also, didn’t accept debit cards. Pool area lacked proper towels to dry off with and pool overall was pretty cold. Breakfast was a “grab and go style” and didn’t consist of much other than 1 type of muffin and some fruit. Would stay here again overnight just to have an overnight staycation as there was a pool for the kiddos.wouldn’t recommend for long term stays however.
