Motel 6 Cedar Rapids, IA - Airport

We found bed bugs in our room! Also the door was open and window unlocked. Overall, was dirty and felt unsafe. I have not been able to get refund from Expedia. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Well we thought they had breakfast and then we were told that they don’t do breakfast anymore. So we had to go out and buy breakfast from the store next door.

Ceiling fell while taking a shower, TV was not working. Bed was as hard as the floor and microwave did not work and fridge did not shut all the way resulting in spoiled food,

It worked for a room to sleep in, but that's about it.

How close it was to the airport & what I was in Iowa for The bed was every uncomfortable, the hotel was nasty, it was a weird smell in the bathroom, I saw a bug, people was loud af & staff was lazy as hell and the manager Monica Adair dont give af about anything

It was so nasty that I did not even use the bathroom or shower. Wish I could get a refund but oh well…will not be using hotels.com ever again.

However, I had a late flight in (checked in after midnight) and was expecting a restful night and to sleep in a bit. But about 4-5am-ish, a guest's dog began barking every few minutes until about 8am. I think it was the staff's responsibility to locate and interface with the owners to quiet the dog and so help assure the comfort of the other guests. Also, there were loud voices continuing in the hallway at about this same time. If it hadn't been for that dog and no (apparent) attempt to quiet it, everything would have been great and without complaint. I would choose this hotel again. It is an affordable option and a convenient distance from the airport for a one-night stay.

Location, the towels, vending machine The smell, the cleanliness

Nothing Dirty, rooms not nice, bed very uncomfortable, and people hanging out in the parking lot who clearly weren't supposed to be there.

Never been at a worse motel 6 before. Staff was more interested in smoking and chatting than assisting guests. Hotel smelt like burnt food. TV didn’t work.

Context, (im in crutches, use motel 6 frequently, rarely ever have problems).. Entrance and hallways smelt of fried fish, the bedroom floor was not swept, the bathroom floor was slightly flooded and when we requested for it to be cleaned, they couldnt clean it, so we requested extra towels and the worker stated he couldn't give us extra towels. He offered a room upstairs, I can not walk upstairs. So we left. Would've been nice to get a refund being that we stayed a max of 35 minutes. The Super 8 down the street ended up being perfect though. Kind of glad it didnt work out here.

The room was clean, although older and a bit shabby and needing repairs (bathtub drain was really rusty, the bathroom fan sounded like it was going to die, the a/c vent wouldn't tip as the cover was broken and glued in place, the side door was broken to the building but fixed during our stay, the policy is no smoking but the place reeked of weed). The staff was super friendly, and it was nice not to be charged $15 a day to have a pet with us.

Entire hotel smelled of weed. Even staff seen smoking on property which is comical since they post signs about no smoking within x feet of hotel. Not enough parking, had to leave our car at McDonald’s and walk. Room photos are likely from 20yrs ago since the flooring was cracked, paint and wood around in-room hot tub looked terrible. Hot tub wouldn’t hold water for 15min even with the drain sealed so who knows where the leak is. Hotel staff entered our room TWICE before 7a and each time said sorry and thought we had checked out…they even laughed about it when I did check out later in the morning. The weed smell was the worst though, so strong in the hallway and could smell it in our room. Heater smelled like something burning so turned off and thankfully had extra blankets in the car. Pillows were disgustingly dirty too.

I liked the staff very friendly and helpful. I guess you get what you deserve when go cheap on a room for the night. Dirty. Outdated, crackheads everywhere, pungent smell of BO, cigarettes and whatever else is lingering there. Oh and dog that barked all night long.

Absolutely no place to park a truck and trailer. It was suggested to park on the side street. It was narrow and didn’t know if my vehicle would get ticketed, towed or hit.

There was blood on the bed, a gap on the bottom of the door you can see people when they walk by. I didn't even sleep there walked in and our. Hallway had odor or weed and other paraphernalia. Asked for a refund and expedia and the motel wouldn't help. Both experiences were horrible
