Motel 6 Cedar Rapids, IA - Airport

I won’t go back people sleeping in there vehicles smoking morning bud all night people hanging out like a half way house the staff was outside smoking bud outside the rooms were dirty looked like pee on the floor they did clean it fast though. It just wasn’t clean seen a roach on the table under the tv. Was mean mugged by the two men that gave me a dirty look yeah they were staff over staffed at night two guys one woman. The good is no security deposit taken and all that…

The room was clean, the staff was friendly, it was rundown. Cops there in the evening, but the property was quiet for the evening so whatever happen was dealt with and we appreciated that. It didn’t affect us at all.

On the first floor a third world tenant knocked the screen out and was cooking rice and beans on the window sill. Absolutely disgusting, I left and went to the comfort inn suites on the north end of town. If you are an American dont stay here!

The place was a dump. Nothing was clean or maintained. Kinda remindned me of srmtay in a hostel in a third world country. The price wasnt cheap either, with all the constuction in the area . theyre really milking what they got.

Canceled this booking like 6 times and yet they never canceled on their end here i am still getting attempted charges on my card!!! For a reservation Canceled trying to steal money for a room booking that I never took and was not supposed to be there anymore.

No where near the airport, hallway smelled disgusting and rooms are very very basic.

Good communication. Quiet room. No hairdryer ☹️. It would be helpful if there were a sign to explain that you can leave the main switch on and turn out the bedside lights. This way the room is dark but there is still power to the outlets if you need to charge something.

We found bed bugs in our room! Also the door was open and window unlocked. Overall, was dirty and felt unsafe. I have not been able to get refund from Expedia. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Well we thought they had breakfast and then we were told that they don’t do breakfast anymore. So we had to go out and buy breakfast from the store next door.

Ceiling fell while taking a shower, TV was not working. Bed was as hard as the floor and microwave did not work and fridge did not shut all the way resulting in spoiled food,
