Good old style vibe. Exactly what we wanted

We loved everything about the property. The staff were friendly and helpful. They went beyond what we expected. On our way home, my husband discovered he didn’t have his wedding ring, and didn’t remember exactly what he did with it. We called the Barksdale and the woman at the desk said she would check our room for us. We had stopped at a rest area and my husband found it in his shaving kit. We were very relieved. We left a message and received a call a few minutes later. She was very happy we found it, and wished us safe travels. Next time we are in the area, the Barksdale can be sure we will stay there. Thanks for everything!

Great location, amazing breakfast, small but clean room.

I booked my stay here because I was looking forward to experiencing the beauty of a historical hotel. Much was missing to complete the charm that the hotel could have had. Im not an interior decorator, but a few cans of paint and repairs/carpet cleaning wouldve made a huge impact. Pillows, authenic prints and attention to details would help. Sorry - but paying $350 a night didnt support what I got. :(

Great place to stay. Close to walk anywhere in historic district. Breakfast was such a surprise. Real breakfast! Eggs, toast, grits, fruit, etc. will definitely be back!

The breakfast in the morning was fantastic, simple but well prepared options. Most importantly the front desk supervisor Aleeyah was very attentive and helped with any and all questions throughout the stay, and even afterwards, she was a primary factor in creating a homely and comfortable atmosphere. Big thanks!!
