This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are spacious but dated. The air conditioner was excellent. Breakfast was great with lits of variety (must try the potatoes). Very close to restaurants and shopping, all within walking distance. Lots of historic sites close by. Free drinks and snacks in the lobby for the Managers reception every night was a wonderful bonus.

We had an excellent stay! The staff was incredibly friendly, professional, and always willing to help with anything we needed. The hotel was spotless from the lobby to our room, and you could tell cleanliness is a top priority. The room was comfortable, well-maintained, and made our stay even more enjoyable. Great customer service, a clean environment, and an overall wonderful experience. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

Room was very clean. Staff and breakfast was fantastic
-
Room was old and worn. Furniture was coming apart and dirt in crevices of bathroom walls/floors/light switches. Expected more from this hotel chain.
-
The staff here went above and beyond for me traveling alone on my birthday. It was such an amazing day I didn’t wanna leave.

Enjoyed our stay. Older facility, but it's a wonderfully historic property so keep that in mind and read the info they give you at the check-in desk regarding it's long history in the city. Be aware that all parking is valet and the charge is $50/night. That was a bit of an unpleasant surprise, but the great free breakfast......full buffet and all sorts of fresh fruits and cereal....helped to sooth the pain. Excellent location in downtown Charleston. So many excellent restaurants and shops right out the front door. And a beautiful park next door as well.

Once inside, we saw that the fountain was filthy with mold and suds and dirt. Our bathroom tub had mold on the slip guard and on the tiles but, worst of all, there was very little hot water with which to shower. The cold water in the bathroom sink was warm. The floor/carpet on the magnificent spiral staircases was dirty and worn.
-
The property is a bit old and not well maintained. Staff are great with the breakfast was one of the best I have ever had.
-
Nice stay but bathroom needs work. Grout with mold
-
Great hot breakfast buffet. Relaxing environment. Super outdated facility. Needs new carpet, exhaust fans in bathroom, and key card entry at all exits.
-
The location and history of it was fantastic! The staff was the best part: they were awesome! It needed to be upgraded. Our window was broken, and some areas were worn.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was a little friendly. The breakfast was very good, best breakfast included with hotel stay I have ever experience, usually you have to pay for breakfast. The parking was very easy. But $50 a day for valet, I find it a bit high.
-
Staff was wonderful, fun to be in an armory, great evening reception with free drinks and snacks and my daughter loved and fully utilized the pool. She will miss our pink hotel!

This place needs a major renovation. Felt dirty, carpet with coming up, wall was falling off, toilet was leaking, room smelled musty. The only thing this place has going for it is location. I understand Historic vibes but this place needs help.
-
Everything abouy out stay was great. From the room, staff, breakfast, parking. The proximity to everything was perfect for us. When staying here, do not hesitate to ask any of the staff for whatever you need or for recommendations. We will definitely be staying here when we come back.
-
property needs updates; bathroom had peeling wallpaper, rust, terrible shower head, toilet seemed like it was frankensteined together with pieces from other broken toilets. smelled musty when we first got there, maybe room wasn't occupied recently? housekeeping was good, areas were clean, but the need for updates made it seem dark and "dirty". price was comparable to newer hotels in the area. location was good, one block from king street and shopping, 10 min walk to market.
-
Location is excellent, for shopping and Restaurants. Breakfast was excellent and staff so happy to accommodate. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. In the future, we will be staying at this great hotel. I can't think of anything we didn't like.
-
Location Rooms were outdated, you have to pay to park, employees not friendly, beds were very uncomfortable.

Great idea for a historical conversion. The place needs to be brought to the comforts of modern life . New elevators get rid of old dirty rugs , update bathrooms , furniture and overall decor . The location is amazing considering the Dewberry across the street . It is time to invest more in this place . Winning fue to location , amazing staff and pet policy Interior Looks a bit tired run down .
