Not exaggeration to state that this was one of the best hotel stays we've ever had. Everything about this property was immaculate. Truly amazing experience. We would highly recommend staying here. We particularly appreciated the pool, and of course every interaction with hotel staff was wonderful. Very well done!

If you are looking for a true fine-dining experience where people actually dress up, save your money. This is absolutely not the place to take your date or spouse for an anniversary. We booked a stay at Hotel Bennett and dined at Gabrielle specifically because we wanted a 5-star atmosphere with a strict dress code. We made a deliberate effort to select appropriate attire, only to be completely blindsided. We were in total shock to find that we were practically the only people in the entire room who followed the rules. Virtually every single patron was dressed in t-shirts, shorts, and beach footwear. We left feeling double-crossed, hustled, and honestly hurt by how dishonest the marketing is here. During breakfast, a man was permitted to sit right near us in a sleeveless undershirt "wife-beater" and flip-flops. They also have a sign telling gentlemen to remove hats, but women just put on the men's baseball caps as a loophole, so the dining room was still full of hats. Dinner was an identical story. The website claims men must wear collared shirts and tailored pants in the evening, but a scant few actually did. The room was overrun with casual beach attire.Management completely abandoned their own policies at the front door. They failed utterly to protect the luxury environment they advertise to high-paying guests. If we wanted a Waffle House atmosphere, we would have gone there and paid a fraction of the price. If management doesn't have the backbone to enforce their standard.

Simply perfect.

The mechanical items in our room did not work. We had a repair man come to the room at 11:30 pm to fix the AC - where his fished a large piece of cardboard from the vent that was inhibiting the airflow. The automatic blinds did not work either. The room was either wide open or pitch black

Absolutely loved this stay in downtown Charleston. Perfect location to restaurants and shopping. The afternoon tea at Camelia’s and the rooftop pool really sets this 5 star property apart from the others. 10 out of 10 stay.

The doorman service was exceptional. The room had lovely amenities along with enough water bottles and coffee pods added every night without asking for it.

Hotel Bennett is unbelievable. It had been awhile since we had stayed here and I thought things might show some wear. I was wrong. Everything was fresh and absolutely awesome. Every staff member was friendly and helpful. When you stay at a luxury hotel, you expect this kind of environment. You rarely do today but the Bennett delivers.
